Codex has this small "desktop pet" feature where a pixel character wanders around your terminal. The community started making packs in a .codex-pet format and the art got really good.
I wanted that pet outside the terminal — walking across my real desktop, over Xcode, into the corner of Finder — without forcing the whole Codex toolchain on people who just want the pet. So I built xpet.
