Is there a virus or bacteria that can cause someones body temperature to drop to dangerously low levels?

The body will run a fever fighting off viruses, etc. so is there anything that would cause a drop in temperature other than hypothermia?

Nothing says you're getting old like having to add 'piss bottle' to your travel check list!

I've had the usual basic travel checklist (keys, wallet, phone, watch) for decades but a recent post on this sub was talking about the use of piss bottles and now I have to remember to add that to the list! And since I'm a belt and suspenders type of guy, I'll keep a backup in my gym bag!

The wife thinks it's hilarious. Me not so much, but after too many mad dashes through gas stations, supermarkets, and even restaurants, a couple of near misses of pissing out the driver side door in parking lots, and one too many total disasters, it's now just as important as everything else.

Just remembered, I need to add a hand towel for mopping up any spills 😅

8mg Tamsulosin not working

68yo male that's been having night urination is for about a year. Had an Ultrasound and MRI that showed my prostate at 62cc but low risk of cancer so that's good!

My PCP recommended Tam and it worked like a miracle for the first month or so but recently stopped working so, not knowing any better, I asked the Dr to increase the dosage and he said to take 2 pills for 8mg a day.

Night peeing has gotten much worse over the past week, up to probably 20+ times last night. Not sure if it's related but I feel like crap, slight fever, low energy, slight headache, chills, achy all over so I told my Dr that I will stop taking the Tam since it stopped working and I feel like hot garbage.

I've been lurking here and seen some combos that seem like I should try. I see others saying that they wished they had surgery earlier but that terrifies me. I've made it this far in life without spending a night at a hospital so just the thought of it depresses me.

Oh yeah my Dr is one of those that barely gives you 10 minutes before running out of the room so I'll have to look out for myself. I'll probably ask for a referral to a urologist but my Dr seems like the cost of a referral comes out of his own pocket!

Thanks for reading, this community is very helpful.
