Informing DVLA of recent diagnosis

As the title suggests, I've recently been diagnosed with MS and I find myself on Reddit frequently looking for answers to my endless questions, so thought I'd post!!

I was diagnosed very recently with RRMS and currently waiting for an MS Community Nurse to call me to discuss treatment options and discuss the diagnosis more.

However I know I need to tell the DVLA about my diagnosis and probably shouldn't wait until I've spoken to the nurse.

I wondered how others found the online process of telling the DVLA? The questions are vague/simple "yes or no" answers so it's difficult to answer them. For example, during my last relapse I did experience weakness in my left hand and struggled to use it (therefore did not drive) but those symptoms only lasted a couple of weeks and I am absolutely fine now. So when they ask "do you have problems with weakness that are likely to make driving unsafe" I am unsure whether to tick "yes" or "no" as there is no option to add further info on this only occurring when I have a relapse/it's a temporary loss of weakness.

How have others reported it to the DVLA, am I better to fill in a CN1 form?

Thanks in advance!! X
