Just wrapped up my Hyperfunk submission and honestly, this challenge taught me a lot.
I submitted my XL piece “LIVEWIRE” and my Large piece “TH3RMAL.” I also had a Medium piece in the works that I wasn’t able to finish before the deadline, but I still plan on finishing it because I ended up really liking where it was going.
One thing I learned from this challenge is that sometimes you have to stop waiting for the perfect idea and just start creating. A lot of my favorite parts of these pieces came from experimenting, making mistakes, getting feedback, and trusting the process.
Big thanks to everyone who gave critiques, references, and encouragement throughout the challenge. It genuinely helped me push these pieces further than I would’ve on my own.
Whether they place or not, I’m happy I participated. I had a lot of fun, learned a ton, and came out a better artist than when I started.
