what do you guys really think of the new designs?

i'm personally not very fond of it. i don't think they look ugly and i don't think they should've stayed the same either, is just that they look bland and unninteresting. one of my problems is that they don't feel alternative or creative, the designs of the first game (as you guys probably know) where inspired by 90s streetwear that was (and still is) popular in shibuya, where people experiment with different clothes, mixing various cultures. even though the first designs were simple, you could definitely see the experimentation in them, they look weird, stylish and most importantly, alternative. they are rebelious teenagers that are supposed to dress weird, but they just look like youtubers from 2016.

i definitely would like it more if they had stayed with the cartoony look of the original games too, but i think this anime artstyle can work if worked on in the right way.

of course we haven't seen the other characters, but it kinda makes me woried for how they'll all look.

Ryth fart and review of JSRF after finishing it

Just gonna get to the point.

Future became my 3rd favorite game of all time for many reasons, this game has what I look into when I play a game but I wanna divide it into 5 sections to make it easier.

Story wise the game is a 7.5/10, I tought the story was really cool but obviously it wasn’t anything too crazy or super well written but the characters helped it in some way, the premise was really cool which helped a lot, the villains were cool, they were charismatic in their own way and Professor K was so fun, geunine ragebaiter lol, plus Rokkaku was a cool antagonist and he was kinda hilarious too.

Gameplay wise the game is a 9/10, super fun gameplay and kinda challenging in some way which I loved it, the level design was great, each area of Tokyo was fun and always great to see a new one pop up, the enemies were super easy tho but I liked that they had their own way to be defeated, I think the only reason why I give it a 9 and not a 10 its because of the enemies being easy to defeat and due to there not being a mini map, god I got lost so many times and didn’t even know where to go, other than that the game is super fun and enjoyed the challenge.

OST wise the game is a 1000000/10, nothing to say here, top 3 videogame soundtracks of all time, the concept of love, like this like that, like a butterfly, aisle 10(hello Allison), birthday cake, all of the songs were amazing and bring so much variety when playing, the only song I disliked was the final boss theme due to it being repetitive but overall its still the best OST of all time, dear god I love Hideki Naganuma.

Visual wise the game is a 10/10, great artstyle, the characters were super cool designed and I will add again that this helped the areas be so pretty, my favorites had to be 99th street, Rokkaku Dai Heights and sky Dinosaurian square, even the ones I disliked like the Skyscraper district were still cool visually.

Feelings wise the game made me feel amazing when playing it so automatic 10/10, I had a lot of fun playing it and honestly I probably never had more fun with a game than this one, what a genuine masterpiece.

With JSRF its official that my top 3 favorite games of all time were made by Sega or published by them which is funny lol, will definitely recommend this masterpiece to more people for them to enjoy.

99th street - color-reduction linocut prints hand-made by me

Hello! I’m a printmaking that makes prints inspired by the things that make me feel nostalgic. Jet Set Radio Future is one of them! I made this four-layer reduction linocut print inspired by the most memorable location in JSRF to me, and that’s 99th Street!

I’ve posted this before, but only have one print of this left and wanted to share it here again in case one of you fans as big as I am wants to check it out! I’ll put my shop link in the comments 🙂

🐲99th Street🐲

This is a four-layer color-reduction linocut gamescape print inspired by Jet Set Radio Future. The best pack-in game for any console was this game. I had no clue what this game was and probably wouldn’t have even tried it had it not just been there. This is my most fond memory of the original Xbox. Skating around and spraypainting the city while running from cops and also listening to the most crazy and memorable soundtrack from any game?! 99th street in particular was always my favorite area. The night-time setting with all of the lights. A tower with dragons wrapped around it that you can grind on?! I still frequently put this soundtrack on while I’m trying to focus on projects. It’s a shame that this game isn’t backwards compatible or released on any modern consoles.

Came to see some art, stayed to play some JSR

I was visiting Japan for the past weeks and randomly visited the Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa. I was genuinely surprised to see Jet Set Radio being a part of their current exhibition. Of course I had to sit down and play a couple of levels. :)

How can I play jet set radio Future

Hey guys,

I'm completely ignorant about emulating and other ways to play older generation games without buying a console and the disc.

Can anybody recommend what is the best way to emulate jet set radio Future, if you guys have any tutorials or webpages for downloading the game or would be really helpful.

Heya Jet set radio fans, I'm making some commissions to buy a new power supply for my Xbox, I only need $7 so the prices are pretty low.

Not to mention that I really enjoyed drawing the game, so sorry if you're bothered by me doing this in this community.

Sketch: 7$

Simple: 10$

Detailed: 20$

Pfp: 5$

The waiting time is 1 to 3 weeks.
