I am currently watching Nu Who and just watched the impossible planet and the satan pit. I got the exact same feeling that when I was a kid, when you get to the end of an episode and it finishes on an epic cliff-hanger and you are all excited and you think oh this one is a special because this means your enemy is so strong that for once the doctor cannot beat it in one episode, he needs a tiring two parter fight. In the disney era all the stories got the same lenght apart from the finale and I know it was because they had less episodes and everyone disliked that but I want to specify that for me it was one of the consequences I dislike the most, no two parters inside the season, just put there because the story needs it. It is so exciting when you don't know when it can happen. The disney era left me with a feeling whether the ennemy is a god or funny robots they are equally difficult to beat.
go on !
I will say green for pertwee is pretty obious in my head.
There are some episodes I always remember with another doctor than the one they actually have, like the episode fit another doctor so much better my mind make the change.
What episodes do you think would be better with another doctor than the one they have and what doctor ? I always see Tennant fitting perfectly in the beast bellow and I can never remember it is Pete Davidson and not Tom Baker in The Awakening, Vincent and the doctor could have been with Eccleston and Rose, the curse of fenric could totally have been with 9th too
I started listenning to big finish adventures with the paul spragg contest winners stories and with each you can download the script along the audio. Now I started buying audios and, as a not native english speaker, I understand the most of it but sometimes, especially in tension scenes with context noises where informations are fast and important, I lose the track and understand an important thing only later. I know hese are surely listenned to by british people mostly now since there is a script I would find it more english beginners friendly to give the script to download along each audio story
we get all these people saying they stopped watch after capaldi, okay, but don't you think new fans started watching with jodie ? I mean right now everyone's saying that their has been a downfall since capaldi's end but at the time a lot of people said capaldi started off bad, and before that the people were against moffat new vision. I have this impression the fandom always wants two packages, a perfect one (now with RTD 1 and moffat) and a bad one (now with RTD 2 and Chibnall), and it's like a revisionist history everytime there is something the fandom don't like it transform the past into a perfect time. What do you think about this, is this claim (that the serie has been in a downfall since capaldi) something of worth or is it just the new opinion of today that we'll forget tomorrow ? Also I know a lot of you like Peter Davidson and Collin Baker and Sylvester Mccoy, don't we react just like the fans at the time who were said the show has been in a decline since Tom Baker ?
oi, I'm trying to submitt a script for the 2026 Paul Spragg Competition but there's something I don't understands about the guidelines ; it says to include in your document an excerpt of 500 words of your story and a synopsis of 500 words. So, they only judge on this ? you don't send them the full script ?
