Just wanted to share some updates
Hi everyone. It’s been about a year since I bought this car, so I wanted to share some updates since.
It started as a 155k one owner car. It had its fair share of issues that I’ve been tackling slowly.
The first thing I replaced were the 2018 dated tires. They rode like rocks and I couldn’t stand that. When winter hit, it developed a strange creaking noise that I narrows down to a worn out rubber strut mount in the front left. I went ahead and replaced the entire shock assembly, all strut mounts and springs. I used Tein H Tec springs which gave it a very mild drop.
Once the suspension was replaced, I found out that none of the camber or toe was adjustable. Everything was frozen. So I went ahead and ordered rear adjustable camber arms, toe arms and front inner/outer tie rods with new ball joints.
I noticed a very heavy vibration under braking and found the pass front caliper to be sticking, so I bought a new caliper, new pads and rotors. At the same time I also bought coilovers and front upper arms.
Lastly, I replaced 2 rear wheel hub and bearings as well as rear brake pads and rotors to go with it.
So far this has been a fun journey and I absolutely love driving this thing.
