My technics sl-220 stopped spinning and the arm wouldn't return.

I had it serviced. They "cleaned/lubed the motor, cleaned the controls, and adjusted speed." It worked but the motor had a slight scratchy sound when spinning.

I got maybe three hours out of it before the same issue happened again. The guy who serviced it said that he wouldn't recommend putting any more money into it.

I really liked this turntable. Does anyone have any experience with this particular issue and/or suggestions about whether to get a second opinion or just replace?
