Skip the videos & just order from sites? How were returns? (Aurelinne/Calavera/etc)
Hi all - just had a good-ish experience ordering a 1ct round loose diamond from Aurelinne for a ring I'm making myself. I say good-ish because the stone came looking great, took maybe a week to receive after ordering, but took forever to get videos of the stones while the ones I wanted went out of stock (created such a long cycle for me)
I want to order several more gems but find that the time to receive videos can be very very long (3-5+ days). If they sell out, then I have to wait again. How trustworthy do you think the 3D model photos on the websites are? I am eager to go ahead and just buy the loose stones so I can have them in time for the workshops I'm doing.
Example: have you ever ordered an oval or pear diamond that looks normal/no bowtie on the site but ends up having a very visible bowtie? Or colored diamonds that don't really have the same hue as the website pictures? Those are the two main reason I'm asking for the videos.
For those who have done returns - how difficult is the process?
