A character comically misreads a word
Hoodwinked - Wolf and Twitchy are traveling through a darkened mine shaft. Twitchy lights a candle, and Wolf asks what kind of candle it is, to which Twitchy replies "dee-na-mee-tay", misreading the word Dynamite.
A Christmas Story - The Old Man is so excited to receive his award for winning a crossword puzzle contest (another recipient received the deed to a bowling alley) that he excitedly misreads the world Fragile as Fra-jee-lay.
