Hilariously inept moderation as I expected.

Hilariously inept moderation as I expected.

Mods one minute:
"Yeah you're allowed to draw on others art, it's artistic expression, if someone wants to draw right on top of you, or modify your work, all okay"

Mods the next minute:
"You've been timed out for 6 days for griefing"
You what?
For repairing art being drawn on top of by someone?? You WHAT?
I'M messing with others artwork? Me? k lmao

Yet what I reported, those very same people who all come from the same picture, who are systematically going around and FULLY covering pictures of multiple people, some who even look like they are blatantly botting, naw that's fine.
Defending your art? Not allowed.
Drawing on other peoples art? Fully fine.
That's one crazy lil world you have there not gonna lie.
So what you're saying is, against the first rule of this very subreddit here, is explicitly NOT be respectful and civil while drawing as long as you are drawing actual art?
Your interpretation of your own rules is horribly, horribly flawed.
Actual brain-damage tier judgement.
You might as well replace the report button with an dice roll and the rules with "¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I DUNNO LOL" because they sure aren't used in any sensible way, that's for sure.
How did I know this was going to happen? I knew it would the instant I tested it. I knew it would be ignored instantly.

How about you read your own rules for a change?
You're being played by griefers abusing the report system and you are playing right in to their hands. Not only I have pointed it out, but dozens of others are doing so near-enough every single day.
https://www.reddit.com/r/WplaceLive/comments/1tggm6i/comment/omh8vw3/

Again, as I said last thread - this is why people are leaving, you don't even know your own rules and you enforce them to a horrifically inconsistent standard.
READ them!
READ your own posts ON those rules!
Literally the same day for crying out loud. Absolute lunacy.
Embarrassing even. Actually embarrassing. In front of the entire internet to see. People are laughing at how bad it is.
Worse, some people have been genuinely hurt over rulings and judgements made here.
Clearly these griefers know someone on the mod team or something, that ain't right at all. Something stinks.

So, tell me, what would be the correct course of action here huh? Genuinely curious, Mr Mod-san.
Should I bend over backwards and take it? Would you have preferred if I drew an entirely new picture right on top?
No, seriously, genuine question since it seems half of the mod team apparently don't know the rules or don't care to actually look at reports.
What should I have done?
Actually answer, because the future of your site is on edge given the recent changes and you're clearly unsure of these rules yourselves.
Get all the mods here even, every one of them. Discuss it.
Because as it is, I do not see this site lasting much longer, the rules are worse now than they have ever been purely because they are inconsistently enforced.
These new rules were supposed to make things better for everyone, not worse.
How the hell are people going to draw now when defending their own art warrants A TIMEOUT? It wasn't even my art that I was defending, that's the funniest bit of it all, i was protecting others art.
Why would anyone else want to draw when that is the current state of the site?
Pure lunacy.

Clear failure on multiple accounts, broken reports system, abuse.

Since your report system is completely broken right now, it goes here.

tl;dr
Several accounts of actual griefing, not only attacking pictures that are WIPs, but others pictures in the immediate area. Constantly drawing the same garbage image over them any time they try to fix it.
They draw half-finished drawings over other peoples stuff to make it look like they intended to finish but they never do. Then try to report people when they try to fix.
Not only that, I am basically 95% sure this is a multi-accounter.
Verify it yourself by looking at the outline work from the large black and white Homestuck picture here.

https://wplace.live/?lat=30.423742472832537&lng=-95.77731445312502&zoom=15.499175016583772

Check the black outlines in particular.
There's several accounts scattered around the outlines, in predictable chunks of activity, all at the same small period of time, that's very multi-accounter like.
Not to mention the small random scatterings of ink drawn by people in ways that don't make sense from a human perspective but make total sense from a "sharing accounts to distribute ink evenly" perspective.
It doesn't follow sensible drawing patterns at all.

Nextrava #1402787 appears to be the main as they were the only one actively drawing in the immediate area, but when they got annoyed at us repairing our pictures, they brought in 2 other accounts from here - MaltigiDrawers #7369142 and WittyDryer #9154186.
MaltigiDrawers #7369142 in particular was spamming a bunch of Luigis around the place nearby, originally with a black background then eventually removed. Possible bot that they fixed? You be the judge. The Homestuck pic shows clear bot behaviour too.
Shortly after an Emily #9154186 joined the griefing, another involved with the Homestuck picture.
They've been weaponizing the pride flag in particular, quite abhorrent behavior and why LGBT people get attacked on the regular now, but more so they are doing this to abuse the reports system to try get people timed out or banned because of paranoia over being labeled "anti-trans" so automatically reach for the ban to look like they are helping out when all they've done is make people more hated instead!
Both FrampusFrogman and Emily are clearly being used as throwaways to cause the most damage possible as they are the ones constantly attacking others around here.
The only other semi related accounts to this is a Ban:D #4073783 and Majizki #7735157 who also joined in on drawing, also from the same picture. They always draw together, only together, Ban seems to be main.
They have also conveniently started drawing on others work now. So yes, very likely alts.

Nextrava created a Reddit thread of them complaining about US repairing OUR picture, we responded to their thread with evidence at which point their 2 accounts got timed out, Nextrava blocked that person on Reddit and then deleted their own report thread.
That was months back, they are still doing it, still abusing people around the area and abusing the reports alike. They are actively seeking out people involved in those pictures and griefing them with half-finished pictures.
It is very clear what they are doing here. They are trying to game the system, trying to game the mods, and trying to abuse the rules.
They are now relying on the grey area of drawing unfinished art on top of others to make it look like the intention is to finish the art, but they never do.
At least, not anything on top of others works, the only pictures being finished are the ones drawn on free space.
Now isn't that interesting? Really gets the gears going.
Why would one only finish drawings on free spaces instead of on others work?

This is why people are leaving the site.
It's not the rule changes, it's the fact you let people away with blatant rule breaking, because you have moderation that cannot read their own rules consistently, apparently.
It's the fact you screw people over when they are following the very rules you set up.
It's the fact you let people screw with your heads and manipulate you in to timing out and banning people.
2 people both get timed out and banned for the exact same thing at the exact same time. Consistent much?
That's why people are leaving. They're done with the moderation inconsistency despite very consistent rules.
Likewise they are done with reports being completely ignored now, and now the entire SYSTEM is broken, deliberately or accidental who knows.
I don't know if you have it as a moderation feature or not, but if you don't, add a heatmap to show user activity. Add a list on the side and highlight the user when you are hovering pixels.
If you did, you'd easily see way more abuse and botting.
Basically 90% of the people I knew that used the site stopped using it because they were timed out or banned from defending their own artwork and getting report-spammed by said griefers.

It's not even about the art being abused or drawn over, I drew on Drawball, most of us did, and that was a far more chaotic site with less moderation.
It's not even about attachment to the art being drawn. It's about the heavy-handed moderation being tricked by griefers in to timing or banning people, which ruins it for everyone.
You had a good thing going until the time out and ban abuse started, you invested so much effort to burn it down by caving to abusers.

Sadly that's the story of many people I have seen on this subreddit as of recent, appeals to help where there is none, not any more.
There's no care here any more.
How unfortunate. What a waste.
And watch as this thread just gets nuked in to the wasteland like many others who want the site to get better. Deaf ears, etc.

And since I am here, have the previous thread from the time Nextrava tried to abuse the (then older) rules and then whine when their griefing was undone.
