After 6 days of reporting a very obvious case of void griefing with no result I have come to realize that using the void to grief art is seemingly allowed.

The auto moderation system cannot detect void griefing and thus no punishment is ever applied. That combined with the entire area being shadow banned from reports doesn't help with people having any faith in the mod team.

I am not the first or the last who has issues with how moderation handles griefing via void, but hopefully this is gonna reach them.

A GM / moderator apparently restored several major works within Lesotho (a former hub of the sharty) recently. There are several works which were restored, the worst of which (in my opinion) is on display - an actual ad and link to the hateful website. The users who performed clean-up in Lesotho were also suspended.

The moderation teams' inaction on NZ KF territory was highly questionable, but this definitely proves at least one GM or moderator is ignoring the rules and restoring "artworks" that break them. (back in December, when the link was deleted, the Code of Conduct forbade writing links that lead to inappropriate content; technically, it is still forbidden, as the Terms of Service mention following the Code of Conduct, rather than the Community Guidelines).

I commend every person on Wplace staff who has been working just hard enough to keep me interested in remaining here. I almost quit several times, but the promises they gave about banning multi-accounters and botters were sufficient to keep me here, semi-satisfied. That being said, if we are at a point where the moderation team actively restores links to hateful websites, where the n word (with the hard 'r') is thrown several times in each post, where transphobia is rampant, and where fetish "art" is shared on every corner, I believe it's curtains for Wplace.

What I personally believe the moderation team should do: I ask for the moderation team to reverse the restoration / remove the ad. Also, I would ask for the team to take moderation more seriously; if the moderation team can't be expected to uphold Wplace rules, it's hypocritical to expect regular users to follow them. Finally, I ask that the moderation team take action in making sure this sort of thing never happens again.

sooo i used to use an account just to draw random characters from the game that i used to play and for a while teh same account wasn’t shown on my google accounts and was apparently removed and i didn’t remember its password so i just made another account on google so i can use it for w place, i eventually managed to get the old account and when I logged into it on w place i received permanent ban due to bottoms, there wasn’t even a button to click for an appeal so i just found w places email support and texted my problem on there and it gave me an automated message for there being to many emails that they are receiving and would respond in 5 days max and 5 days passed and there is still no updates, I am js completely lost and don’t know what to do, any help?

This is probably the most crazy story I've had on this site.

I've been having a pixel war with a Russian bot(?) in my home city for a while. They've been changing a Ukrainian emblem and other artworks to Russian emblems. So I've been changing them back, they unsurprisingly respond by bringing them back. All perfectly normal.

This is when they get upset, they find the IRL picture of me from my profile pics on socials that I have linked on my Discord to call me a "Nasi", probably a misspelling of N*zi, either accidental or deliberate. Which is absolutely crazy and kinda funny.

In the image I made before v after of a one of the artworks and the Ukrainian emblem. In the bottom is the picture of me, censored because Rule 5 and obviously don't want it to spread.

I mapped out all the 262144 regions on the map and painted them accordingly on how many pixels was painted on that region all time. There are many functions such as:

• Seeing the total number of pixels painted
• Average pixels per region
• Seeing how many regions all the country has
• Highlighting all the regions in map the country corresponds to
• See the trend of pixels painted over time in a region or country
• Locating regions and opening link in Wplace
• And a lot more.

The methodology for getting the pixels painted in the regions isn't 100% accurate as I use the inbuilt Wplace top 50 leaderboard function which itself isn't quite accurate by itself but there are other problems on my side. The pixels painted are the sum of top 50 individual painters in a region so full totals are only guaranteed for a country's own top 50 regions which is available in Wplace leaderboard. Any region outside it is underestimated, so totals skew low. For example, the United States shows roughly 6.5 billion pixels here versus an actual total closer to 8 billion. Treat all figures as a lower bound, not an exact count.

Everything was vibe coded using Claude but I did put quite a lot of effort so I hope you enjoy it!

To all players: this is exactly what happens under this game’s brilliantly stupid rules now.

As shown in the picture, the lovely face of this character girl has been replaced with an ugly meme of some political figure. I’m one of the artists who worked on the original piece – I truly loved it, poured my heart into it, and it’s even my profile avatar. So right now I’m absolutely furious and heartbroken.

I already reported it in‑game for malicious overlay, and – surprise, surprise – the report obviously failed, or I wouldn’t be ranting here. Probably because our smart GMs decided that “painting over a painting” doesn’t violate the rules, never mind the vast difference in effort and time required. I watched with my own eyes as the vandal used multiple accounts and scripts to finish his “masterpiece” in just a few seconds (yes, he was also blatantly multi‑accounting and using auto‑draw scripts, but reports still go nowhere – wplace’s review system is just that perfect). Meanwhile, the destroyed work took me and many others weeks to complete, and the vandal only needs to ruin a few key spots to obliterate an entire piece. Many of the original builders have already left the game, and my own account doesn’t even have most paid colors, so fixing it on my own is extremely difficult – clearly unfair.

What’s more, the vandal keeps lurking around this area, and I doubt he’ll stop. Since those accounts were created, all they’ve done is draw malicious political images and crap all over other people’s work. I successfully reported him before, but apparently he easily found glaring loopholes in the rules (maybe intentionally left by the devs to stir up player wars?). Now he uses political memes to cover normal art, dodging reports with ease. And he seems to know exactly where he was reported last time – I guess when he gets punished, his first thought is revenge, not reflection.

If the officials keep classifying such malicious political graffiti as “art” and insist that this kind of overwriting doesn’t break the rules, then orderly players will only grow more and more disappointed in this unfair battle and gradually quit – and honestly, the massive player drain is already happening. In the end, the game will be left with nothing but trolls who get off on annoying normal people, and the whole canvas will turn into a warzone. Or is that exactly what the devs want – a battlefield? Their rules and actions have consistently encouraged players to attack each other. I refuse to believe that, with all the accounts they’ve banned these past few days, they still “don’t have the resources” to handle player reports.

If you, the officials, are not encouraging war and destruction, then please accept my sincere apology. If you do want to see chaos, well, I can’t criticise you – it’s your game. But I can only advise fellow players who, like me, just want to create beautiful things: leave this game sooner rather than later, so you don’t have to watch your favourite work get script‑destroyed in an instant, powerless to stop it, and lie awake at night furious and helpless.

So the Kiwifarms area in New Zealand has been talked about before as an obvious place the mods need to clear out, but haven't for some reason. Putting aside their forums being used to doxx people, can we at least agree these "artworks" are obviously against the rules?

First link shows the kiwis gunning down a bunch of brown kiwis on a beach, with the slogan "Throw them back, TND-Day, 2025". If you google TND you find it stands for Total N-word Death, a racist copypasta.

It would be great of the mods could ban these people. I know they can, because they had no problem banning accounts trying to erase it. Alternatively, if this stuff is disappointingly acceptable on wplace, just quit banning people altogether and let the community police itself.

And if you've been on here long enough you would know that this place has been raided nigh fucking constantly by the Soyjak Party, which are some of the most miserable people you will encounter on the internet, so miserable they lead to Solomon Henderson committing the Antioch High School shooting (they will tell you it wasn't them, that's cope, they're too pussy to admit it)

Now... I was going to bring up how most of these accounts have been for the most part, completely unpunished for months, even during the repeat raids, all of which have been broadcasted on this server

This is... genuinely shocking in a good way. I haven't seen wplace mods react THIS fast to hate speech in I think forever, ESPECIALLY given the fact that my account had been timed out for cleaning up "art" made by the Soyjak Party. So to see such justice come so quickly, it's glorious
