Why does Desi hip hop nowadays feel more focused on complicated wordplay, references, and fast flows than actual songs?
Every rapper wants to sound “technical” with double meanings and chopper flows, but half the time I don’t even know what they’re trying to say.
No memorable hooks. No emotion. No bars that actually hit.
Just flex rap over hard beats with references only hardcore rap fans understand.
Sometimes I miss the old Bohemia era ( jab m 15-16 ka tha now i am 27 )
Didn’t even fully understand Punjabi but still remembered every song. That’s how good the music was( ab to vo bhi khrab gane bnata h )
Why can’t rappers make music that connects with normal listeners too instead of trying to sound smart 24/7?
