Quick 1-day Tbilisi stopover: Is Didgori Memorial doable without a car? + Late night ideas before a 3 AM flight

Gamarjoba! We have a short 1-day stopover in Tbilisi coming up, and I’m trying to figure out a couple of logistics.

We saw those massive swords on IG Reels and it looks super cool. Since we don't have a car, is it actually worth visiting on such a short trip? If so, what’s the best way to get there and back from Tbilisi? Are there good tour/private driver options that will drive us out, wait for us, and bring us back?

I also wanna get your advice on how to efficiently spend the night time. Our flight leaves super late/early morning, so we aren't booking a hotel just for a couple of hours. We plan to head to the airport around 3 AM. Any recommendations for cool 24/7 spots, cozy bars, or things to do late at night in Tbilisi to kill time until then?

Madloba in advance

Planning a 2–3 Day Trip to Syunik

Hi everyone,

I'm planning a 2–3 day road trip to Syunik and was wondering if anyone has recommendations for a good itinerary or any must-see stops along the way.

Right now I'm thinking of visiting Tatev and Kapan, but I'm not sure if it's worth driving all the way down to Meghri given the limited time.

For those who've done the trip:

Is Meghri worth adding if we only have 2–3 days?
Is the drive to Meghri scenic enough to justify the extra time? Any hidden gems, viewpoints, hikes, or food stops you'd recommend along the route?

Thanks!

Looking for a digital copy of Ruben Vardanyan’s “At the Crossroads: A time for Solutions”

I’ve been trying to find a copy of Ruben Vardanyan and Nune Alekyan’s book, At the Crossroads: A Time for Solutions. If I’m not mistaken, it explores the different development models Armenia could adopt and is based on studies conducted by McKinsey. I know the PDF used to be available online, but the official website (armenia2041.com) seems to be down. Does anyone happen to have a saved copy of the PDF they’d be willing to share?

Looking to buy an apartment in a new building in Yerevan (a budget of 110k). Which projects/developers can actually be trusted?

With so many new developments popping up everywhere (especially outer districts and transitioning areas), it's kind of overwhelming. I want to make sure I’m putting my money into something reliable, but it’s hard to cut through the marketing fluff.

Any projects you’d recommend?

On service and tipping

Hi everyone, I am currently visiting Tbilisi and Batumi together with family, and I’m finding the service culture a bit tough to get used to. The food has been absolutely delicious!!!! Having said this often we have found restaurant staff to be quite slow and unwelcoming sometimes even passive-aggressive (highly-rated spots in the central areas). For context, we are from Armenia and the service there feels more attentive. Is this the norm here, or have we just been unlucky? Also, what’s the consensus on tipping? We’ve been leaving 15-20 GEL, but to be frank, there have been times where the service was so poor it felt undeserved. Is it rude to skip the tip when the service is essentially non-existent, or is it expected regardless?

Madloba!

Magti eSIM purchased in app but not appearing—any advice on how to activate?

I went through the registration process in the MyMagti app, completed the passport verification, and successfully purchased a number (for 10 GEL). I received an email from Magti confirming my email address was added to my profile (with a verification code), but now I can’t find the eSIM itself anywhere in the app. There’s no QR code or "Activate" button visible in the interface.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there a specific menu I’m missing, or is there a delay between the payment and the eSIM appearing in the account?
