Solar settings question: how do I make my system charge the battery from all excess solar, instead of capping at base load?
Hi all,
I am trying to understand which setting I need to change in mysig app.
At the moment, my solar generation seems to be matching my base load pretty closely (it was 4.9kw before this screenshot), and it looks like the system is only generating enough to cover that load rather than pushing as much excess as possible into the battery.
What I actually want is for the system to use all available excess solar to charge the battery first, instead of limiting generation around the house base load level.
A few questions:
- What setting controls this behavior?
- is this usually called self-consumption, export limit, battery priority, or something else?
- Could this be caused by a load-following mode, battery reserve setting, or export control setting?
- if the battery is not charging fully, what should I check first?
