I just disabled "double opt-in" (email confirmation) because a nearly half of new subs aren't getting or acting on the email confirmation message. Yes I have 48 hr "smart nudge" enabled. One early self-test sent it to junk folder. So I suspect it's happening a lot. Not one has responded to the "smart nudge", either. (Not "smart" enough.)

According to docs and help bot, Beehiiv offers no recourse for this i.e. manual confirmation send - re-nudge - or any other "pending" purgatory remediation control - infuriating when you're trying to get to your first 100 and many of the first fifty won't get the newsletter they think they've sub'd to!

Do you have email confirmation ("double opt-in") enabled?
Do you have any ideas, other than manually emailing them to look for the confirmation message, about how to remediate this?
