i grew both of these beauties from cuttings and now I care for them more than most people I’ve met

first of all, I would like to say this - people of Split, you are truly amazing. everyone I met during my short stay was friendly, open, and charismatic when speaking to me. For context, I have never been able to travel internationally for financial reasons, but you were the first place I chose to visit. And I have plans already to visit again soon, largely in part to the lovely people of Split. Secondly, what a beautiful city - obviously everyone loves Riva and Old town, but the photos simply don’t do it justice. you can feel the history as you walk around the place emanating from the buildings. Thirdly, the food and drink! We had a few local spots just from walking around and wandering about, but the standout was Sug, such an unforgettable experience trying Dalmatian food there for the first time. Among the many bars we went to, we had two clear favorites - Sistema and Strings. Amazing service and people at both, cannot recommend enough to anyone.

anyways, I could gush for hours about Split and I cannot wait to visit again.
