You can have a favorite character and not defend their every action and decision.
i just need to rant a little after having some discussions on threads. i'll use myself as an example so i don't start any further discussions.
Rhys and Feyre are personally my favorite characters, i love them to death. HOWEVER there have been many times where them and their actions piss me off and they do things i can't and wont excuse. just one example is Rhys having feyre dance on him under the mountain, though i understand his reasoning i don't excuse the actions. so i never have a problem with people loving characters that i don't particularly like or care for, i actually think it's awesome that everyone can love or relate to each character and their struggles, what really gets under my skin is the gaslighting and defending of objectively bad decisions and actions. so i guess my point is that you don't have to defend their every action for them to be a beloved and favorite character of yours, you can acknowledge their faults and nuances and still love them, it doesn't make you any less of a fan of theirs.
