It’s especially funny seeing Phaedra joke on Marlo about wanting in house hair and make up, knowing what she does today to keep up with the glam standards. Today having that during their vacays is like a standard.

Anyways: the new season is getting so much talk because its the best we’ve had in a while, but looking back its still not all that 😂 this show used to be so tea

The scarf hanging as a braid, the look dead into the camera, the androgynous pose, the even brown skin, Cynthia Cheekbones Bailey! She has presence. She rly ate the best of the best up on this cover. I wonder if people realize this. Probably did cuz the director has her centered with Tyra. Only person tugging on her wig in this particular shoot to me was Beverly. She serving motha.

Edit: to whom this nay concern, IDC who don’t agree with my post. Y’all so easily give praise to the other legendary models of her time, even to the other models on this cover you couldn’t even name. But i see some of y’all have a problem with Miss. Cynthia Bailey getting her things. Anyways, as we can see. Cynthia is that girl.

I really see it for lakeith tbh. They don’t resemble, but I see it and resemblance doesn’t have to be exact. He could pull it off. He has the amount of eccentricity and ruggedness needed for Marvin. He has proven acting chops. It’d be a surprise to see him clean cut. Haven’t heard his singing chops before but i have heard he put out a single before. Idk if he’s a singer though.

He definitely would need to gain some weight for a fuller build. Lakeith is real thin, but he’s got the height for Marvin. Its hard be as handsome as a chiseled Marvin but Lakeith is definitely a handsome guy & i would love if they stuck to a brown skin or caramel African American guy like Marvin was. I think he’s the best choice out of the rumored prospects. I’m sure he can relate to some of Marvin’s struggles. I do feel that he has the edge to really dig deep for Marvin’s personal issues with hard drugs. And i’ve heard lakeith is a dog too when it comes to black women.. oh how they all are, especially in the entertainment business!

But yeah i heard the Marvin biopic is still moving towards development with Warner Bros.
Edit for folks wondering about development: It has an green-lit with an $80 million budget, been backed by the estate and given Motown music rights, even has a script. It just has no lead actor or any real production timeline.
The script for the upcoming Warner Bros. Marvin Gaye biopic, What's Going On, was written by the acclaimed poet and playwright Marcus Gardley (The Color Purple Musical). The film will be directed by Allen Hughes (Menace II Society & Dead Presidents) and produced by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Lovine (8 Mile).
Also: the singer’s widow, Jan Gaye, serving as an executive producer along with Suzanne de Passe

I chose these 3 because they were all able to really break out of soul groups of the 60s & 70s and really become their own solo artist and brand themselves in the way they desired. I feel like their images of rugged soulful and sensual black men were important authentic representation for black folks in our history. Their soul records have become the soundtrack of our lives as far as socially and romantically.

Lol i find it hard to keep up with whatever underground afters platforms housewives get on to discuss the show and plead their case to the viewers while the show is on that isn’t produced by Bravo.. So I loved this Sherri appearance, it creates some high visibility for this new season. Felt like the days housewives used to go on Wendy’s show to promote :) (i do like to watch king of reads though for my Rhoa reviews, he’s a YouTuber)

So if you are a busy body and can relate to this struggle, and don’t have time to follow all the extra interviews to scoop up all the tea, this post is for you. This appearance was real tea. 🍵 Porsha looked great and represented the show in a real professional manner/ positive light. She highlighted Drew and even spoke highly of k michelle (even with ha crashing out in regular tweets bout Porsha) but anyways.. Porsha included some light shade to Kelli that was pretty funny, Enjoy the clip! “Shes always reaching for other reasons” 😂😂

Beyonce really has so much skill and talent as a vocalist. I really am impressed with, in particular how much volume she is able to get on her voice while still being able to capture that much of her vibrato in those measures. I feel like people don’t realize how much talent that takes. It takes you on a rollercoaster. Voice just be jiggling 😂😂 And also I am impressed with how she is able to get different textures out of her belting to give her listeners some versatility. She is often able to obtain a growl and grit within her belts that really make those vocals piercing and exciting to hear.

And don’t even get me started on some of the textures in her falsetto she can pull out, like on Ego when there is an airy vocal fry on that breakdown/bridge. Her personality, her sass, and her spirit really shines through in her music. But yes, I really wanted to highlight the exciting adlib climax in record Suga Mama from BDAY! This technique reminds me of a technique that maybe only singers I’ve heard in singers like Aretha Franklin and Fantasia. It’s something about being able to really sing like a WILD WOMAN! Know what I mean? Love Bey and hope this post doesn’t bring her haters.

What are some of your favorite vocal techniques and qualities from Bey?

I think the voice is just okay, good for teeny Rnb. Sometimes it sounds like he is singing in 2x and really running over the song from his Terrell appearance. I’d like if he slowed down and really felt the words of the song. I feel like it probably has something to do with him being young and excited. I think he’s definitely talented though. I like how Usher seems to be putting a lot of effort and artist development into him, but I’m not that interested in another chris brown or usher style entertainer. I don’t feel he really is doing anything different yet. But I’m sure young girls will enjoy him. I’ll be watching.

I still would rather her in dark hair, but i like this look for her. It’s much more mature, elegant, and refined. Unlike those other young baddie looks she been trying to pull. Its nothing wrong with being an older refined woman. I always loved Phaedra because she represented that black southern belle aesthetic. Lets keep that
