What has been your biggest hurdle or concern with cataract surgery?
I know most posts in this subreddit is discussing your eyes condition and lens options. But beyond these, are there any other hurdles or concerns preventing you from having a desired cataract surgery?
I heard that in some countries the waiting time is as long as several months, or even years. Is that true? I'm in China, where a cataract surgery can be scheduled within days, even in a public hospital. Could you show me your waiting time and country where you live?
I also heard that in some countries the cost of having a cataract surgery in a private clinic, or having a premium cataract surgery in a public hospital is extremely high. If you don't mind, could you share the typical price range within your country? Is that a big burden for you?
Last, given a chance to have the cataract surgery in another country, will you consider it? If not, what's your biggest concern?
