Protection Visa
I am seriously thinking about applying for this visa. The reason being that, there's this person that's been stalking me and is obsessive and possessive over me for 4 years, this year will be the 5th year.
He has threatened to end me and whomever my future partner will be, or if he just sees me with a guy. He also said that if I get pregnant, he'd kill the guy and me and go to jail, because he doesn't care what happens to him. He has repeatedly called and disturbed me. The thing is... Idk where he lives exactly, and PNG doesn't have a database where they can know the home address of people and makes it all the more difficult to even report this to the police, which they wouldn't take it seriously when money is offered, or connection is there from the accuser's side. And people think that this isn't serious even when it makes the victim feel helpless. I have told my parent, but he just advice to not fear him. So... Idk what more to do.
Currently I am working and the distance between where I live and my place of work is far. I always have to pass by that suburb he lives in to go to work. I fear if he even sees me, or the vehicle of my parents that I'm in, he would be tailing me from these little clues. He knows where I live, and I'm sure if I were to eventually rent out, I'm afraid he will be able to find me and continue harassing me but this time much worse. He had also told me that he frequently comes to the neighbourhood since he has a friend there, and pretends to hang out with him to spy on me in case he sees me.
So this is my reasoning for considering this visa. I believe mine falls under serious harm - significant physical harassment of the person.
Therefore, I am seriously considering it. What do you guys think?
