How to comprehend being ghosted twice in 6 months
I (24F) have been ghosted twice this year. In January and just a day ago. Let me break down both because I am very confused on how it has happened twice.
With the first person (25M), we had met last year once and he had asked for my number. I gave it to him not expecting a text or anything but he soon did text me. We talked and agreed to meet around the holidays (this was in December so after Christmas). We met, he asked me to be his girlfriend and it was amazing. A week after New Years, I sent him a text and he didn’t respond. I left it at that cause I knew he was working so probably would respond the next day… which he didn’t. But the funny thing about this whole situation is that he would still post stories but didnt respond to my texts. I left it at that and deleted his number because it was quite trashy of him to just go full on silent. We didnt have any disagreements (which I was confused on why he just stayed silent). This honestly broke me because I had been in a relationship where the other party would overpromise but under-deliver and to say my expectations were gaslit was an understatement.
Cool so I took some time (From mid January til mid May) off on dating because I just wasnt in any mood to date again. Then late May I get a text from someone (26M) who previously wanted to get to know me but due to us having gone to the same high school he didnt want that complication. I did mention he said this the first time we talked but he said he didnt mind it anymore. We started talking over Instagram and he asked for my number (which I avoided giving to him because I didnt think he was serious) until he called me through instagram just to get my number for iMessage. We then proceeded to have a two week talking stage and things were going okay until the day before we were supposed to go out on our first date, this man blocked me. Literally my text didnt deliver.
Now both these situations make me question myself as a person because both these situations were going so well yet they both ended with me being ghosted. And funny how they both were so passionate and affectionate and then suddenly quiet.
