ACA - seeking employment and job market sucks

Hey everyone

Does anyone require a qualified chartered accountant to join their team - 7 years overall experience and c2.5 PQ? I’ve left my role recently at the big4 as I was pigeonholed in one area of tax (innovation incentives) and I’m looking for new roles in to gain broad experience rather than do the same thing. I’ve struggled to land any interviews and recruiters have said the market is brutal. It’s been 4 months and I’m keen to get some advice or help.

Someone recommended ICAEW mentoring/coaching but they cost upwards of £650 per hour and they recommend 4 sessions.

I’d appreciate any help (and please don’t come at me with you should have planned this before you left). Anyone who can provide advice or dos/donts?

Thanks

Gary (not my real name)
