I've been listening to 'Flying Kiss' by NCT DREAM lately, and the melody in two specific sections really reminds me of a song by a Western female artist I used to love.

It's the parts at 1:02–1:06 and 1:12–1:15, where the vocals are sung in a quick, sustained, single-tone style. It triggered such a strong sense of nostalgia, but for the life of me, I can't remember the song title or the artist.

Since I'm not very familiar with many Western pop artists, I was hoping someone here might recognize that melodic style. I’d love to find that song again! Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you so much for your help!
