i'm mostly listening to indie artists like krystal jung, jeong yein and kang lena who used to be idols but are now making their own music but i like a variety of genres
i would like to get active boy group and girl group music + content recommendations so if u have any lmk
Title tracks only please! If there is a featured artist in the title track who wrote lyrics for the track alongside the main artist, that counts too as long as there are no other lyricists.
Googling didn't help.
I'm quite sure it's a boy group or male soloist

The purpose of this list is basically for me to rank them later.
Yes, not all of them are official positions. But I try to gather the ones that generally are considered to do the vocal heavy lifting, official or not official.
I try to avoid groups which are intended to all be vocal focused (2AM, TVXQ, Big Mama), mostly known to have just emphasize a single member as the one that carries the vocal (Blackpink, Riize, WayV), or the ones that don't really share a vocal line (Illit, Newjeans, Cortis).
Please do add anyone that I miss, or if you also have correction regarding my exceptions above!
I only know two Jpop songs that are full English, they are "What You Waiting For" by Twice and "Kawaii" by Le Sserafim.
Do you know other Jpop songs but full English?
Note: English versions aren't count like "Different" of Le Sserafim.
Can anyone suggest me songs that have similar vibes to these two. Especially Lie-it's on repeat in my playlist ( haunting vibe)
Hi !! Ive been doing fancalls for years now but one things ive never tried and been wondering about.. does anyone know if i can apply myself and my friend for the same call?
I mean. Those are 1:1 so i want to do one order with my name and a second one entry at my friend name. But i dont know if its forbidden since ill be using the same accoutn and address ? I believe i saw once that we cant order several times or it will be seen at cheating or else. I'm confuse 🥲
Thank you in advance if anyones has the answer.
Hi there :)
I am a PhD student at the University of Lisbon. I am currently writing an article about the reception of the Roman Empire in K-pop music videos. Currently have:
Roman Empire - Bang Chan for Fenty
Janus - Boyfriend
Dont Touch - Misamo ( with the birth of venus, i can work arround that)
I have found others, like some songs from BTS, VIXX, but in those the main focus is greek mythology. Do you know any more examples that could be useful for my work?
Thank you very much for the time
So I've been making this playlist for myself and i need more song recs. I can't put them all under one single genre. but i would describe them as a fresh breath of air (quite literally), like when you're walking in the evening with your hair down and the cold breeze slaps your face and ruffles your hair coolly. Songs already in my playlist for reference:
i am so obsessed with this song but i can't keep listening to it on repeat so im begging you find me similar songs 🙏🙏🙏
A few years ago, I frequently listened to I Got a Boy by Girls' Generation and Next Level by aespa. I also like O.O by NMIXX. I don’t know if Tempo by EXO is also considered experimental, but I love it as well. The acapella before it ends sounds angelic. Although I’m not bored with my playlist yet, can you recommend more songs with a similar vibe? Thank you!
To me, all 3 of these songs kinda convey a heartbreaking feeling of love or lovesickness, while also showcasing the pure intensity and emotion it love can cause. Any song recs, bg, gg, or soloists, that convey the same sort of vibe as these?
Hi everyone, sorry if I'm doing this improperly but I'm doing an assignment for my class about the global influence of Kpop #yasss but I'm trying to think of some western artists that have been influenced by Kpop. For example, PinkPantheress is a huge example with her constantly proclaiming her love for certain groups and even interpolating kpop songs within her own music (such as f(x)'s Ice Cream). I can't think of any other artists that have been influenced but I know there are quite a few, so any help or inkling of artists that have been influenced by K-Pop would be appreciated < 3
Hi, I've been into kpop for a few years now and have quite the collection of albums, photocards and merch. While these things do make me happy, every once in a while the thought creeps up on me of how much money I've spent.
Mainly how that money could have been used on experiences. I have gone to a fair amount of concerts, but also missed out on others. I also really like to travel and it makes me sad to think I could have used that money on a trip.
I stan a lot of groups and have tried to limit myself to collecting only a select few. But new groups debut or I discover another one or the new cb is sooo good. I also purge every once in a while and sell the stuff I no longer find joy from. But that money goes right back into more kpop.
I don't understand why pretty cardboard has such a hold on me. Maybe I just seriously lack discipline.
TLDR: I stan and collect a lot of kpop groups so I spend a lot of money on them but I would prefer to spend that money on experiences/trips instead

I'm trying to get tickets to Kim Minju's fanmeeting in Seoul. I know that ticket sales start 5/22 7pm KST on Ticketlink, but I only see the event on their Korea website and not the global website, and you need a Korean ID to register for an account on the Korean website.
As a foreigner who doesn't live in Korea, is there still a way to get tickets to Minju's fanmeeting?
I saw on Ticketlink (using Google Translate) that tickets can either be delivered via mail or picked up on the day of the concert, and if you choose to pick up your tickets, you are required to show your ID. But it doesn't say anything about requiring ID if you choose to have your tickets mailed to you. In that case, could I potentially have a friend in Korea buy the ticket for me under their name and account, have them choose mail delivery, and then I get the ticket from them? Is this risky, especially since they say transferring tickets is not allowed? Does anyone have any experience with this?
I'm new to kpop. I never felt the appeal of music because majority of mainstream songs out there were just meh to me. I used to listen to cpop for a while but that was it. I would like to get to start with some boy teams (for now). I'm open to any recommendation. I would appreciate it if you recommend a couple of songs or an album instead instead of just commenting the group's name (guide me a lil bit). I dont have a genre preference but I don't like country music.
Basically songs which are clearly heavily inspired by another song from the west, just it’s kpop version
Some examples:
Ne-Yo - closer + MBLAQ - Stay
Cher Lloyd - Swagger Jagger + Minx - Why did you come to my house?
School Grylz - something like a party + Blady - Blood type b girl
Aly & Aj - potential breakup song + Tahiti - Love Sick
Asap Rocky/Skepta - praise the lord + Cortis - fashion
As well as all the variants of Travis Scott - Fein and Tinashe - superlove that have been made
Obviously this isn’t hate I am just interested if anyone knows anymore lol
Also interesting to see if anyone has any the other way round !!! (western songs inspired by Korean songs)
I’m attending my first kpop concert soon to see Close Your Eyes and I was wondering if there is anything I should know before I go - I’m worried especially since I’m a +1 and I only know one song from them (X) and idk if I should sing along? (But I don’t speak Korean? 🥲) but I’m trying to study all their other songs before then too 😭 and should I bring anything? I’d feel weird not holding anything during the concert but I don’t have a light stick… any advice is appreciated
