Lazy Matelea cyclophylla

I have had this nice Matelea for maybe 5 years now, but every year it's the same thing : it makes at most 4 to 6 leaves, and no flowers.
The caudex has grown bigger, the plant seems fine (the few leaves remain Ok until end of growing season), but no flowers, and never more than those 4 to 6 leaves appearing very slowly.
I tried, last years : inside (shade, half shade), outside (half shade, 4-6 hours direct sunlight this year). I repotted this year too (pumice and a little bit of cactus soil). I gave it a bit of fertilizer too. In summer I water it every day. Temperatures never felt below 25°C/77°F at night since it's outside, humidity most of the time in 40-60% (I live in south of France next to the Méditerranée sea). The way it grew each year was remarkably similar despite the changes in shade, location, etc. I never had any issue with it, no yeallow leaves, no pests.
When I bought it the vine was maybe 10 times longer, with flowers, but it never happened again. It's doing fine but it really is not doing much, good thing that the caudex is great 😁
