Dr. Bumby Fan fiction backstory
This is my interpretation of what his story could be. It's just something I chose to do one day. I'm dealing with mental health issues so I'd just like someone to read this and let me know if they enjoyed it.
Dr. Angus Bumby - A case too disturbed to mention but it must be exposed.
Angus caused so much pain to so many who were undeserving. His parents have never been known to the public, and he was never made aware of them either. He is not a good man. You'd have a hard time convincing the world of that fact though, just like I do. It was not hard for him to convince everyone that I was, much less than sane. I'll start where I know. He had a very troubled early life as with his adult mind.
He might as well have been born an orphan. Early in life he ended up belonging to British Orphan Asylum, later known as part of Reed's School. The only family he ever had was for perhaps only a month or two. His father, Edgar was abusive and obsessed with control. His mother's name was never revealed to Bumby. Edgar told him once that her name was not relevant to their relationship and hardly ever was. "Mother was a... provider for me of entertainment. No one was like her. Those who provided for her in return treated her as a service, not a love. Once she was done helping them, mother was of no more use. It was her value to the community. Society cannot waste it's resources. And she was the greatest resource to me son", Edgar told Angus. The problem for him was he hardly ever spoke in any situation. No one had any memory of him speaking out to anyone. Perhaps he did with his father but i do not possess that information. I believe he was not worth enough to let his own thoughts exist in others' minds. His mother was always eyeing Bumby's actions and I suppose, observing him. It was the mother's idea to adopt him, but little did Angus know, it wasnt quite for a reason he thought he wanted. Bumby was too young to understand but likely knew something was wrong. His mother wanted a child of her own, but could never convince her husband to give her one. This drove her mad. Eventually, she had, had enough and did the only thing she thought she could reasonably do. When her husband wasn't home, she forced Angus to impregnate her, telling him it was what this family needed. A better half for you, Angus. He didn't know what to think, feel or even know about what her actions and words meant. As expected, it didn't take long for Bumby's father to find out about what his wife had done. He lost it at that point and murdered her without even a single thought and threw Angus back to the same orphanage he was picked up from with his final words to him being: "I told you society cannot waste its resources." Perhaps his brief father killing his mother just like that might've buried the beginning thoughts of murder not being much of a trouble to him. After a few weeks of trying to simply live, he took a few moments alone to reflect upon the events of his short lived family setting. He thought about the feelings he felt during the impregnation. He felt some happiness but didn't know what it meant. It was a strange kind of happiness. Pleasure but also scary. His mother was very demanding during sex. Not allowing him to make the decisions during the process. He felt this wasn't right. Bumby's father was always the one to make the choices on how almost every day went. At the time, the man being the one to make the necessary decisions was all that he could find comfort with. Anytime his father would choose what to do for the day or moment, things would often get done properly. His mother thought herself unwelcome in alot of the decisions. Whenever she would try to direct situations a certain way, it would be through a more slower approach and with a bit more of an erratic mind. That is what Bumby's father had told him anyway. It was very clear they did not ever see eachother's stories to tell. I suppose you could say Angus was very strained from these experiences. But every day with them had new petty problems. He could never decide what was right or wrong. The only thing that provided him with any kind of happiness was the decision makings of the strong minded male father of the family.
Back in the life of an orphan, despite his complications in early life, he showed exceptional intelligence. Perhaps one of the reasons he was chosen as the child punching bag of physical and mental abuse by the other challenged ones. The problem wasn't knowing which children were a worry, but who was the biggest worry. Over a year had past since Angus was "returned" to the orphanage. He had a significant amount of time to think on his time with the family he once belonged to. Angus wasn't sure anymore if he ever belonged to anything. Since he was never taught to defend himself, only the nature of what human purpose meant to his father. He was still treated as the outcast in a home of outcasts. I want to get through this part quick since it is not a comfortable memory despite not being mine. The news of Edgar's murder on his wife spread to several children at the orphanage. Staff tried to keep the news private for as long as they could but it did not stay silent forever. Some of the kids wanted to see if Angus' "Worm" could do what was told. They took advantage of his inability to help himself from them. They set him up in a circle surrounded by the involved children with one other child in the circle next to him. The child was sobbing, nothing more. Bumby figured he must know why they were both here. The children quickly demanded him to show them his talents. He showed them the only talents he thought would satisfy them. He took the child by the hair feeling the anger surrounding him as if it were his own. Angus raped the helpless child in hopes of gaining some attention, notoriety and self pleasure. His performance paralyzed the room in astonishment. No cheering was shared but whispers were heard. He stood up proud of himself, believing he properly followed the teachings of his father while also matching the talent of his mother. He said nothing as the circle of children willing opened up for Angus to leave the room. From that point forward the physical responses changed around him. Staff had not been concerned with the happenings at the Asylum. Payment and stability was their only concern. No harm came to Bumby after the circle from any of his fellow orphans. Years of uneventful experiences drew him to proper education. His intelligence never wavered, it unfortunately only grew. He finally found a stable home after a father of one of the orphans he previously knew tracked him down and approached him as he was attempting to jumpstart a teenager's sexual fantasies in an alley. The problem for Angus was, this girl had no desire for his fantasies, yet she was too scared to confront him. His soon to be father, Thomas got Bumby's attention, giving the girl a chance to retreat. He offered Angus a home in exchange for his services. Angus requested the description of the tasks he wanted. All Thomas wanted was a grandchild, but was unwilling to wait. He told Angus to impregnate his daughter a tad younger than the girl he was just talking to. Neither were concerned about age. Bumby became less and less careful about age since his last mother's pregnancy. He accepted the offer and quickly moved in since he had a severe lack of worthy items. His new life went on and eventually he helped birth the child of the girl he became very fond of. The mother of the child who was brought back home after Thomas became obsessed with being a grandfather, was not allowed to resist by her father which made the birthing easy. A few days after the birth, while Angus was at school. Thomas opened his daughter's door to find her gone. He snapped and went on a rampage to find his daughter. Angus came home afterwards to find the house empty. Thomas returned home later exhausted and angry. Thomas ordered Bumby to search for her out by the old bridge where folks had often used to make their end. Angus' search lasted brief as he found her at the bridge when he arrived. She was standing at the edge clearly contemplating her end. Angus convinced her to at least turn around to face him. To his surprise, she was holding the baby. He became very angry and scared. He couldn't fail his father's wish of a grandchild. He aggresively asked her for the child to which she gave it to him without struggle. Remembering the lesson from his father before Thomas. Her purpose had been served. Angus made the decision to choose the fate he assumed she wanted but more, the one that was necessary. He made it back home to find Thomas messing with some rope. Thomas, relieved, grabbed the child from him desperate to know what happened. Bumby informed him of her end. Telling him she jumped once she spotted him, leaving the child on the bridge for him to retrieve. Angus chose to leave the child with Thomas as an appreciation for his gift of life. From this point forward, Angus vowed to keep children within the value of his sights. Children had this sort of "exploitation" that he found fascinating to witness or experiment with. Following his life with Thomas, Bumby went on to study the human mind of kids to later run the Houndsditch Home For Wayward Youth. The orphanage where everything started for us. At least that's what I thought for a time. He sought to bring young ones to their greatest value. Targeted damaged minds in his prison of mental torture. He believed we were all damaged objects of a useful vessel. Our only purpose was to be prizes for those wanting us for sexual pleasure, or to Bumby: sexual purpose. Stages of want and need of others. But we were the reward, not the adopted. Angus was cleansing the streets of London in his vision. Then comes the fire. It always comes back to the flames of the past. It was not a lamp that killed our family not even the centaur, a simple man of too many damaged pieces who made us bigger monsters than we had already been. He killed Mama and Papa. You were his prize that night. Your fear of him only fueled his sexual needs. We were the passing and the lamp was the torch.
I'm so sorry Lizzie. I have failed our family. But this failure will never been in anyone's vain ever again. I love you all and no flame or train will ever take that love from us.
