ANC not working
Hello everyone,
about a year ago, I bought a pair of AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation. For the first few months, everything worked perfectly — no issues at all. But after around 4–5 months, I started noticing that the noise cancellation basically stopped working. Not only that, but even the head gesture features stopped working too.
I took them to the Apple Store, and they replaced both earbuds (not the charging case, only the two AirPods themselves). After that, everything was fine again… for a while.
Now, a few months later — around another 4 months — I’m having exactly the same issue again with the replacement pair. The noise cancellation doesn’t seem to do anything anymore. At the beginning, I could clearly hear that slight ANC “hiss” and feel the difference when switching modes, but now it’s like they’re permanently stuck in transparency mode. Switching between modes changes absolutely nothing.
Has anyone else experienced this with the AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation? Is there any fix or solution? (and yes, they’re updated to the latest version)
