Short term sublease needed - May 27th to November 4th

Hello everyone,

I’m a graduate student from Europe (27M) coming to work on a research project in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at UIUC.

I’ve been looking into accommodation options, but most places I’ve found are either only available until August, relatively expensive for me or subleasing for longer then my stay. I was wondering if anyone might know of available subleases or roommates. Or would be able to point me in the right direction.

What I’m looking for:
• Accommodation for the full duration of my stay (May 27 – November 4). I may be able to slightly adjust the dates, but only slightly.
• A fully furnished place, as I am staying short-term, so I’d prefer not to buy furniture, kitchenware, etc.
• Basic amenities such as a kitchen, fridge/freezer, Wi-Fi, and either a washing machine or nearby access to laundry. A lockable private room is also important.
• My budget is ideally under $950/month including utilities, since I’m funding the stay myself and trying to keep costs low.

If anyone has any leads or advice, I’d really appreciate it.

Feels free to DM me or comment.

Thank you very much for your help.

Hi everyone. I’m looking for a sublease or sublet from May 27th to November 4th (a little longer than 5 months). I’m a 27-year-old male, a visiting PhD student from Europe. I’m searching for either a 1B1B apartment or a 2B1B shared with a roommate for this period. I’m a non-smoker, clean, responsible, and rather quiet person. I enjoy cooking, sports, and gaming. I’m looking for a place with a kitchen, washing machine, and ideally internet access.

As my home university doesn’t provide very high funding, my budget is around $900 per month, including utilities. Thank you very much in advance for any offers (feel free to DM me) or recommendations on where to look. So far, most listings I’ve found are either for stays longer than 6 months or only available until summer. I really appreciate any help.
