WCIF any of the CAS CC in these pics?

The only thing I'm pretty sure I already have is the green dress and loafers from the last outfit. Obviously some items may be from a pack... but likely ones I don't have since nothing stands out.

Mostly trying to find dress/sweater from #1, scarf/sweater/overall dress from #2, and tights from #3. TIA!

LF CC creator to help with accessory tops project

I made a post asking if there are subs where Sims players who don't create can reach out to creators for projects, and a friendly commenter said it should be okay to share here.

I did take that post down just because it didn't need to keep rolling, but the thing I would reiterate here: I am aware I can learn how to create using S4S myself. I just honestly don't have the energy, creativity, or patience because of my career choices. So I'm hoping to find a creator who enjoys these kinds of projects and would be willing to help me out. If that's not you--that's cool, and I hope you find other posts to interact with that bring you joy instead of annoyance or frustration.

All right, now on to the actual project: so I am obsessed with layering and I love accessory tops. The trouble is, it's pretty common for the overshirt or jacket to be in "tops" slot and the accessory top to be a basic tank or tee that goes underneath (similar to then new base layering options in CAS). These are still great, they just can't be used with full body outfits and I like pairing these tops with rompers, dresses, etc.

So I have 3 tops in my CC collection that I would love to have converted from tops into accessories. Two are by AdrienPastel and one is by Dogsill. I've checked both creators TOU and this would be within their rules, and I'm happy to link their TOU's as well. If the content is just given to me, no other steps needed. But if you decide to pick this up and want to share it publicly: 1) it can't be paywalled; 2) both OG creators would like a tag in the post you make.

The accessory slot would be up to you as long as it's attached to the body and not the head. This is not all or nothing--if you only want to tackle one top, I will appreciate it beyond belief. Just let me know so I don't have another person also working on it and taking up their time.

  1. Rona Shirt: https://www.patreon.com/posts/86607913?collection=108269 (alternatively, if you have Horse Ranch and want to separate out the undershirt and make the overshirt an acc, it would be the same top... AP just decided to go the opposite route and put it in "tops")

  2. Martine Cardigan: https://www.patreon.com/posts/130013481?collection=108269 (would need undershirt separated as well as cardigan converted to acc)

  3. Velma Jacket (colors, not denims): https://www.patreon.com/posts/equinox-pack-109343476?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=postshare_fan&utm_content=web_share

Anywhere to post CC requests?

Hey everyone o/

I know Sims4Studio has a forum where people can post requests for CC creation. It's specifically made for people who don't create CC to be able to reach out to creators for certain items. I do have a post there, but things move a bit slow on S4S and honestly... sometimes the people who come across your posts just don't feel like taking on the project, as is their prerogative. My post has been up for a little bit and I haven't had any bites.

Are their any communities on Reddit for similar purposes (or, better yet, is this allowed in this sub)? I'd like to try to cast a wider net, but I don't want to misuse a sub or get a bunch of "just do it yourself" comments from people who feel the need to be flippant about it. Obviously yes, I could take the time to learn. Frankly, I just don't want to. I'm not a creator, I don't plan to become one, and I have a pretty taxing career that just leaves me drained of the creativity and patience to take this kind of stuff on.

Reselling vintage and vintage-inspired

I asked about this years ago and honestly, don't even remember what sub. I have a mix of vintage and vintage-adjacent clothing items, primarily 40's and 50's era. This includes:

-True vintage: old, likely no tags or identifying markers for brands or possibly handmade, not truly able to date it either because I'm versed but not THAT versed

-Vintage recreations: newly made but uses vintage patterns and/or fabrics, many from smaller brands that are often overseas (this category typically came with the highest price tag when I initially purchased the clothes)

-Vintage inspired: your more well-known "modern" vintage items from brands like HellBunny, Unique Vintage, etc.

When I amassed this collection from 2016-2018, prices ranged from $30-250. I am not expecting to get full value for any of the pieces, but I don't want to discount a $250 dress to $50 either. I just don't know where best to sell. Initially I planned to use Etsy since I can likely list everything there--there's definitely a market on Etsy for vintage. But over the years I feel like all I hear about Etsy from sellers are horror stories... so I guess I'm looking for the lowdown on Etsy and any suggestions for where else to sell if it's not a good route. TIA!

WCIF this pink tank top?

The post is from Clumsy but the top is not their CC. Another person asked on their Patreon where to find this and Clumsy said they linked it in their Tumblr but I cannot find it anywhere on there either. This is an older post of Clumsy's so it's probably an older top as well, any ideas?

Accessory jackets, cardigans, button ups?

https://preview.redd.it/xnoc2iwnbs3h1.jpg?width=1894&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=768b9832e27fb8d66c95b6f72cc6bb68166c7486

I have this jacket by Simandy. It's one of my favorite things because they actually made this an accessory vs. in the top/shirt category. Which means you can use it with full body outfits and that's a huge game changer for creating fun styles.

I've been digging and all I can find are outer layers like this still in the top category and then they come with their own accessory top (similar to the new "base layer" thing Sims just added). Anyone have any CC similar to this in the ACCESSORY slot(s)? Specifically looking for similarly styled jackets, button up shirts, and cardigans.

I have checked the HG list and many on the list don't sound like they'll work for my hair, though I could be wrong. I feel like I keep striking out with gel, so I'm open to even your wildest suggestions at this point. Also apologies, I'm sure I've posted this before... but I don't remember getting many responses and I'm desperate for advice. I'll list routine (*next to anything with protein) and gels that haven't worked for me in the past. I've tried many more gels than these, but the others are ones from years ago and I don't really remember them well enough to say nay.

Shampoo: Shea Moisture ACV & salicylic acid; Pacifica Pineapple Papapya Curl Love* (I always double cleanse. On clarifying days I either use B&B Sunday or Pantene Volume)

Conditioner: V&CO Wave Babe**

Curl cream: Bounce Curl hydra-lite styling cream

I have a lot of concerns... hold, frizz, but I don't want overly gritty curls. I am prone to moisture overload easily, but I don't want to OD on protein either. Hair finish is somewhere on the medium-soft side? My underside strands are very silky and fall out more easily that my top layers, and top layers are slightly more rough and hold better (been this way my whole life).

Gels that don't work: TreLuxe (not enough hold); Aussie Instant freeze (takes me forever to diffuse, not enough hold); NYM Curl Talk level 5 (too thick, all their products dry my hair out)
