Duels at master is boring
Pre-reading warning for many of you: you probably have read it already.
I just advanced to master in duels.
But it isn't a tournament at all. Those who are there know this already, for the rest: it is just the rating that decides if you move up or down.
If the purpose is just to match people at similar ratings, why don't they just match players like on chess sites? Why remove the league tournament format just because you advance to master? It doesn't make any sense. It is not a tournament anymore, it is just an assigned and named rating bracket.
I see some people say they can't play 20 rounds pr week because reasons. So they support this system. But just matching by rating is a better solution. Then you can play 19 games or less, and the rest of us can play a real tournament.
I'm sure lots of people have complained already, this isn't an original take. But everyone who cares should complain. The numbers count. So I'm complaining.
