Struggling with couch and room layout
I just started a new lease and am having trouble figuring out what type of couch (and other furniture) to get and where to put it. I setup my fireplace console on the southern living room wall near the entrance and I'm thinking of putting a couch on the wall across from it.
That wall is 145" long and the distance from the console to the wall across it is about 14'. Do I get a sectional or a regular couch? If I get either, do I get a left side L or right side or do I have a floating couch not against the wall?
The door in the photo leads to the balcony. I'm also going to have a 75" tv on the console. Also wondering what a good color for the couch would be. What are your ideas for a good layout? Do you have any other ideas to keep the room warm and inviting?
