Please help how to deal with this loss.

My darling parrotlet Buddi passed away earlier today, he was only 4 years old, he was bonded with my conure, they did everything together, although he definitely loved her a lot more than she loved him, as he was not fully tame, he followed her everywhere and depended on her but after a while he did begin to sit with us whenever my conure was near too, my conure bonded with us before I got Buddi (they are a year apart in age) I decided not to let my conure see him passed and I took him to the vet and organised cremation right away as I didn’t want to bury him, this is extremely tough for me, I feel numb to it and like it isn’t real, but I’m extremely concerned about how this is going to affect my sweet conure, she has been looking around for him and is quiet, every-time I look at her I feel so awful for her as I don’t think she understands, please what do I do for her and how do I deal with this as best I can so my conure doesn’t suffer? I’ve put up a large photo of him for her to see for now. I am so heartbroken, I don’t want to believe it. I loved him so much, I bought him from a man who didn’t seem to have him in the best of care and he was 9 months old untamed and all alone with no toys in his cage, I want to believe he had a good life, I gave him a home and love and most of all I gave him Frankie who he loved so much and he seemed to had gotten comfortable around us but wouldn’t let us touch him but he would sit on us with my conure, but it was very different to how he was with us at the start. It was such a short life.

Sweet Pugsy crossed the rainbow bridge earlier today🌈. He also decided to leave behind 2 rainbows in the sky for us shortly after 🥲❤️. Thank you all for your support and for following his journey to the very end.

Pugsy~ He's struggling to sleep, exhausted, coughing, belly breathing, twitching and seems spaced out not like himself. I think it’s time? But It's happened so quickly we thought we'd have more time with him :(

Pugsy update: he has melanoma and given a few months to live, but seems he's getting bad quite fast, he is having coughing fits every 5 minutes and has his tail down, anyone who's gone through similar, when did you know it was their time? He is eating and drinking and enjoying walks.

I’m looking for advice about my nearly 2-year-old female lovebird because I’m getting really concerned. I’ve had her since she was a baby and she used to be happy, playful, and fully tame, but once she matured she started laying eggs and hasn’t really stopped. I completely understand that this is natural behaviour for them, but the frequency and how constant it is is what’s worrying me for her health. She’s laid multiple eggs months apart and despite removing anything nest like from her cage, she’s now trying to nest with her wooden perches and will even lay eggs on the bottom of the cage. When she’s out, she just obsessively searches for places or materials to nest with, and if she can’t find anything she gets frantic and tries to get back into her cage. She’s also become very aggressive when I go near her cage and bites extremely hard to the point of drawing blood, and now only very rarely lets me touch her, which is completely unlike how she used to be. It’s also a nightmare to change her food and water bowls everyday. She’s also stopped socialising with my other birds and seems completely fixated on nesting. She still sings, whistles, and even responds when I whistle to her, so she seems interested, but she doesn’t want to come out, sit with me, or be social anymore. I’ve been leaving the eggs with her for about a week or so before removing them (without her seeing), but she just keeps laying more and doesn’t seem to realise they aren’t fertile. My other birds go through hormonal phases and then go back to normal, but she seems stuck like this constantly and I’m really worried about how many eggs she’s laying and what it’s doing to her health. Has anyone dealt with this or found anything that actually helps? Are there anything vets can do for this if I took her (there aren’t many vets who deal with parrots near me).
