What plant does this seed pod come from?
They have a kind of sweet smelling, sticky brown substance inside of them when you crack them open that sort of reminds me of tamarind or honey locust. The surface is a bit wrinkly and you can shake them like a maraca (makes sounds when shaken)
Mom picked these up on our trip to Hua Hin, Thailand. Specifically in an area somewhat close to the beach
