Venting, questions, ideas about being a dragon-kin? I think? Idk

23/she/her. No real organization here, just getting some thoughts out and venting. Maybe someone will share my experience.

i used to be one to make fun of therians/otherkins, but i think im starting to get it? like, I know im human, im nothing else, and ill never BE anything else. yet, i feel the most like myself in my dreams when i can feel my talons stretch, the wind under my wings, and my tail snake behind me.
I've had some pretty hard personal losses lately, and it's all I can think about, but daydreaming about being a dragon has kept a lot of weight off my shoulders. it's almost to an obsessive point, I think about it when I'm working, eating, resting, or trying to enjoy normal activities. I feel so cringy and weird. i Feel shame labeling myself as otherkin or a therian, for some reason. I probably will never label myself, but I'm definitely not just a normal person. There's a deep part of me that just wants to go to sleep forever and wake up in the form that I dream of.

thats it for now, thanks

Interesting mutation on Oranda Goldfish

Got this beauty at work today at [generic chain petstore] and while admiring her adorable speckles, I noticed something odd... no anal fin! Look at that snatched waist!
Has anyone ever seen this before?

Species ID?

Today we got a new shipment of black kuhli's at [insert chain petstore] and these beautiful fellows hitched a ride! Dark brown back that gets darker halfway down the side, then has a stark white/gold belly that stretches slightly into the tail, and a small patch of light yellow at the start of the caudal fin on top. Some of them are higher contrast than others.
I found another thread on this group from about 2 years ago about a similar loach, and that its most likely an undescribed locality of the black kuhli. but I would love some fresh input, and my fellows look a bit different!

I ended up finding 7 in total! they're doing well in my quarantine tank and are already eating some frozen foods. i absolutely love these little guys. They look so much like American eels!

Morph ID?

This gorgeous baby is at a local petstore..

I am IN LOVE. Any morph ideas? been thinking coral ghost, but I haven't seen anything that reduces the grey and adds yellowing on the sides. Belly is solid purplish with white speckles.

$100, worth it? what's an 8th snake anyway!

Heating recommendations for PVC enclosures with a screen lid?

Right now I'm using heat lamps on my 4'x2'x18" Zen Habitats, which I DESPISE. They dry out the enclosures why too fast, I can't get them to a good temp, and they heat up the entire room, which isn't ideal for my crested gecko. I've been told that heat panels can't be used with screen lids, and I've also been told that heat pads/UTH's can't be used on PVC.

i love having them in these big enclosures, but It's so difficult to maintain the humidity and temps that I'm almost tempted to put them back in the rack system I used to have them in (rack hasnt been in use for half a year now, I don't believe in using them as long term housing anymore as my reptile keeping journey has progressed, don't worry.)

please help, how should I best heat these enclosures and keep my precious babies healthy??
