How to get 3V3 out instead of the 1V I'm measurging?
This is my first custom PCB project and I decided to power an ESP32 via and USB port.
I chose an SC189Z (SC189ZSKTRT to be more precise) to convert the 5V into 3V3 for the ESP.
When I received my PCB nothing worked (of course) and I realized I made several mistakes (first one being to solder everything at once and trust it would work).
I realized that I had 5V out instead of 3V3 and decided to investigate.
After troubleshooting, I realized I overheated the SC189Z and damaged it.
I then soldered new parts for the buck converter on another board and tested it.
Despite all my various tests, I was only able to get 1V out when everything is properly soldered.
Now I question my design and a misunderstanding of the datasheet.
Did I make a flagrant mistake, did I choose the inductor and capa properly?
Can someone help me understand what I did wrong?
