Something something Darude

Something something Darude

Completed my second run, first weather-themed run.

No minimal grinding mode this time. I planned on running specially defensive Tyranitar and physically defensive Clefable, so I needed to take full advantage of EVs. Turns out the added grinding was fairly minimal.

Excadrill was the MVP here. Nothing unexpected in a sand team. I had Swords Dance on it, but its Attack stat is so monstrous, I didn't need to set up often and a lot of times going unga bunga did the trick. Buffed Cacturne with Sand Rush feels great to use. Sigilyph exists in a really awkward speed tier, so I felt the need to run Esper Wing as its Psychic STAB to handle that. Mega Lucario as expected hits like a truck and was my priority-enabled revenge killer.

Now thinking about whether I want to do sun or rain next.

The team was configured a bit different for Lorelei, including changing my mega to Metagross, but this was what it looked like for the remaining battles.

I was really intimidated by the Elite Four, but this was easier than I thought. Beat everyone on my first try except for Lorelei and Bruno.

Gonna check out the postgame now, then maybe do some runs with restrictions later. Thinking of weather strategy or gen 1 mons run after.
