Do you yearn for a more novel Pokémon adventure or does your enjoyment of the series rely on the pillars of the series?

I am an independent user experience(ux) designer for interactive media/games and am working on a project about the Pokémon games and the player experience of being a trainer. Over 30 years the games have evolved in many ways while also sticking pretty close to the same structure for the "mainline" series. The Legends titles have experimented with the core but lack something to be considered the next generation.

Feel free to discuss but I've also put together a short form if you'd like to include your opinion on a few issues like monetization and what it is to be a trainer.

Pokémon Experience survey
Form doesn't collect any personal info and isn't promotional for anything, just wanted a chance to represent some of the fanbase's opinion.

I made Feebas cookie sandwiches

Oh sorry did you want your fish (cookie) sandwiches to be boneless? Feebas shortbread cookies with strawberry cream and a white chocolate bone sandwiched inside because we use the whole fish here.

Should Primal Kyogre Have Been A Water/Ice Type?

I think it’s a little strange that Primal Groudon got a second type while Primal Kyogre did not. I think the Ice Type would have been a nice “opposite” to Groudon’s Fire Type, plus it means said Fire Types now do neutral damage against Kyogre, whose Ice moves would do neutral damage to Groudon anyway, but now at least both get STAB. Not to mention, Kyogre needs something in case Desolate Land takes away all its Water moves

Pokémon Coordinator OC

I've been thinking about writing a fanfiction about a Pokémon Coordinator who is starting a journey in the Kanto region (based on the anime's Pokémon Contests).

My idea is that this character would be a shy kid who creates a rock-and-roll persona for his performances. The name of this persona would be Cosmo (a false identity he uses because his father, who loves Pokémon battles, believes that Contests are only for girls and weak people).

As the protagonist, I imagine he could have a Pikachu (with stylish haircuts, similar to the ones in Pokémon: Let's Go).

What other Kanto Pokémon do you think this Coordinator would have? They can be fully evolved or not. And what unique personalities could those Pokémon have?

Any help or inspiration would be amazing ⭐

Made the DIY Lego Kanto Badges

I'm 40 today, and I treated myself to the pick a brick version of the Kanto badges that are floating around online. Turned out great even without stickers.

My one recommendation if you're taking this approach is to get an orange 3x3 circle tile for the Thunder badge instead of the set accurate yellow. It'll look closer to the actual color scheme. .Or get bother colors, depending on what you like.

[OC] What pokémon would you choose to become the Elite 4 Knights?

Whenever I think about Aggron in a medieval world, I can only imagine an absolute fortress of a knight.

Heavy armor. Giant weapons. The kind of warrior that keeps walking forward no matter what stands in the way.

For this Gijinka, I wanted Aggron to feel less like a normal soldier and more like one of the Elite 4 Knights protecting the kingdom itself. Someone that would stand at the gates while an entire army crashes against them.

Now I'm imagining what other Pokémon would belong among the Elite 4 Knights.

Which Pokémon would you choose?

Dear Pokemon Company: please have Koei Tecmo develop more Pokemon spinoffs immediately!

Seriously, both titles were homeruns for the franchise in my book. Super addictive and fun, arguably more so than most of the mainline games.

It's not even hard to imagine a Pokemon Warriors game at that, in fact I wouldn't be shocked if we see such a thing within like the next 5 years, given their history working with Nintendo for various Zelda Warriors games and the Fire Emblem Warriors game.

Note: Yes I'm aware Pokopia was developed specifically by Omega Force, but they are a division of Koei Tecmo.

Kecleon in Gold & Silver anime

This is my first time rewatching the gold & silver anime since it aired and I completely forgot about this. Was Kecleon meant to receive a purple shiny? I’m guessing this is sort of like the Togepi reveal / Munchlax reveal for the future generation.

[OC] There’s not enough Diancie merch so made my own!

Diancie is my favourite Pokemon and unfortunately there isn’t much merch for her so got her regular and mega forms 3d printed and then painted them. The stl files were from zzzMonkiezzz and happy to share which paints I used in case anyone wants to make it themselves! Also included a picture of the unpainted models so you can see what they looked like before I painted them!

What If Stonjourner Had a full evolution line

[OC]

TREKLITH
The Stone Pillar Pokémon

Typing: Rock
Height: 4'11” (1.5 m)
Weight: 661 lbs (300 kg)

Treklith is said to be the “home stone” — the first marker of sacred ground. Villagers in olden times believed Trekliths stood watch over ancestral lands, guiding travelers back to their roots. While Stonjourner embodies Inguz (new beginnings), Treklith embodies Othala (heritage and home), symbolizing the origin point of every journey.

MONUMARCH
The Monument Pokémon

Typing: Rock/Psychic
Height: 13’01” (4 m)
Weight: 1631.42 lbs (740 kg)

Legends say Monumarch embodies the unity of humanity and stone. Unlike Stonjourner, who represents Inguz (new beginnings), Monumarch carries Mannaz — the rune of humanity and collective consciousness. Ancient civilizations believed Monumarch aligned with the stars to guide communities, serving as a guardian of sacred gatherings. Its slabs resonate like a choir of stone, channeling wisdom from the past into the present.
