All grown up now...

Growing up is learing how to actually use moves like sand-attck, growl, leer, and not deleting them for haymakers 😅

As a kid I would never like these moves in my moves list since they did zero damage, but now that I have evolved into an adult, I now realize that those moves are actually good af. Red, Blue, and Yellow I never used those moves. I would spend my time training until a new move was learned and immediately replaced them. Im now approaching unc status and picked up the classics again and have been using the moves to my advantage.

Lv. 10 me would be proud.

Sincerely,

An Unc now 👴🦳

Customizing Things and Such

Got the ol' Museamabob running on a Sensecap Watchermajig. I have it doing some interesting things already. Had to fork both muse gadget sdk and sensecap watcher firmware on the interweb to get it to work. Just got the on-board rgb led and camera working for maximum camera-ing. Pretty sure im using up more than 2 mountain dew bottles worth of water for each prompt but this thing is awesome.

With Big Pickle Gone Is OmniRoute Dead?

been seeing that big pickle is only useable now in the opencode cli and have not gotten it to work in omniroute. A lot of providers have also fallen off and are no longer available. Is this the end of omniroute :(

r/DeskBuddies

Welcome to r/DeskBuddies, the official safe haven for everything that keeps you company while you pretend to work.

Whether your desk buddy has leaves, fur, pixels, or a plastic squeaker, we want to see them.

Who qualifies as a Desk Buddy?

  • Biological: Cats who think your keyboard is an ergonomic bed, dogs judging your video calls, plants you’re desperately trying not to kill, or a friendly jumping spider in the corner.
  • Digital & Virtual: Desktop pets, animated widgets, Tamagotchis, or that idle Game Boy sitting next to your mousepad.
  • Physical & Collectible: Labubus, Funko Pops, Lego minifigures, stress balls, odd rocks, and emotional support coffee mugs.

Rules are simple: Post your workspace sidekicks, show off their setups, and give them proper credit for carrying your productivity.

Warning: High risk of adorable distractions.

I vibe-coded a desktop companion that actually lives on my screen

I wanted to see how far I could push the idea of a desktop companion using AI-assisted development.

Instead of making another chatbot inside a window, I wanted something that actually feels like it's part of the desktop — with its own character, voice interaction, animations, and reactions.

The interesting part was getting all those pieces to work together without making the app feel like a collection of disconnected AI features.

The current stack is Next.js/React on the web side, with the desktop experience handling the companion interactions.

Still iterating on it, but this has been one of the more fun things I've built with AI so far.

What would you add to a desktop companion like this?

Improved the voice of my desk robot. Does it suit the personality

Yesterday a few people said the voice wasn't cutting it. Took the feedback, tried something different today.

Same Sudo, does this feel more like him?
