Y’all ever see an actual baby toy and really want it? :(

Cutest little deer I’ve ever seen today. But it’s literally for babies 😅 I’m still considering going back for it because I can’t stop thinking about her…

It’s from Douglas toys, specifically under their toy label for babies.

30 dollars seems like a bit much for something made for a baby to drool on IMO. Those are big boy numbers. But maybe I’m out of touch in the baby toy scene.

Edit: JFC I wasn’t expecting so many replies 😭 anyway, this was at a mall and I literally went back and got her almost right after I finished at the food court. Before I saw any of these replies.

I haven’t read all the replies, but I hope no one took my post the wrong way and thought I was saying you shouldn’t get something not expressly made for you. I’m a grown woman who walks around with an Ita bag for Christ sake, I pass no judgement on anyone. Anyway I ended up buying the deer regardless.

My little warrior 🧡

Hello everyone! I got this little orange cat because it reminds me of the warrior series! I don’t know if I should name him Rusty or Firestar?

I made a snorlax and ditto as my first sewing project!

I mostly crochet but I wanted to challenge myself to learn how to sew plushies because I absolutely love them. These are my first finished projects after lots of trial and error. (it was my first time using a sewing machine and using fur fabric!!)

I learned so so much and there is so much I will probably doing differently next time but I'm pretty happy with the result. I did expect much more out of myself though because I crochet, but crochet and sewing with fabric is really different. I had so much fun sewing these little guys!

I'd love to hear more tips from more experienced plush makers, and I'd love to know which one is your favorite! ♡

I also documented it on youtube, so I could look back on my progress so that was really fun!

Fixed up an Early Robin I found

Hi! Just joined and first time posting.

For those in here that have lost a plush and/or have a worn toy that you worry about, I hope this brings comfort that sometimes they'll be found and can be fixed up, with a little extra personality and love and care.

Here's Beef (named because I washed him in a clean takeout container labeled Extra Beef), who I found in our parking lot, cleaned, fixed up, refluffed, and gave some accessories. He's now one of my adventure buddies in rotation: he joins me on car rises and errands.

I hope his wonkyness and love brings hope and joy to folks

Say 'Hi' to Nemora!!!!

Please meet Nemora the Flower Fairy. She is a gentle garden fairy who finds joy in the little things. She loves listening to bees hum, helping flowers bloom, and collecting tiny treasures left behind by the wind. She also likes to collect twigs and leaves to help the birds build nests 🪹

(Nemora is completely handmade by me)

Also-Also big thank you for all the love on the mossy dragon! I'm making a mossy mushroom next because the general consensus was that it was totally worth it 👌 this community is literally the kindest, sweetest cosy corner on the internet.

Sad day. Fly Free Busy Bee

Went on a trip today with my partner around little Tokyo in LA. Brought some plush friends on the adventure with us. unfortunately when we got home, we realized Bizz was missing. We are sad and feeling a bit negligent that we didn't even notice when he went missing. Polly and Buzz (pictured) are now missing thier brother Bizz. Wherever you are Bizz, we hope you are on a grand adventure, happily flying around! We miss you!

How do you guys have close bonds with your plushies?

I am a young adult with depression and anxiety and I’ve been trying to find ways to cope with it with plushies and interests. But I sometimes collect/ buy plushies and try my best to remember and interact with them even when adult life/ depression gets in the way. Lately I’ve been noticing how almost everyone here has a close bond with their plushies and always wondered how do you bond with your plush? Does it come naturally? Is it mostly just a form of comfort or grief? Does it only work for those with special interests? I’m just simply curious and want to understand because I’ve been trying to find things that can help with my mental health.

Anyone know anything about the NICI brand?

Hey there! I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the NICI plush brand? I’ve been seeing their Forest Friends collection Lobo Winny Wolf plush circulating my Twitter as of late and I REALLY want this plush, however I’m in the US (specifically MA) and I have no luck finding anyone who sells these plushies, not even Amazon.

I did find a UK store online but has anyone ordered them their UK store from the US and dealt with tariffs? That’s a whole other issue I’m afraid of. If anyone knows anything about the brand or where to find the lobo winny plush I’d appreciate it!!

Can we get a new rule limiting the "can I carry a plush/ is it OK to have a plush at x age?"

These questions come up every day and it's always the same premise of "I'm 13, can I have a plush still?" Yes yes you can. "I'm 19 and I sleep with my baby plush, is that ok?" Yes why wouldn't it be. "I'm an adult and I want to carry my plush. Can I?" You're an adult, you can do what you want. "Is it OK for me as a 29 year old to have something I like?" Come on yall.

Like I know that some people just want reassurance, but I feel like the questions and responses are always the same thing. There's only so many different ways we can state "yes." That having a rule against these types of questions-> into "Yes plushes are for anyone and everyone! Feel free to bring your friend out in public If it is something that will bring you joy." Would just work.

Edit since it seems as if some people are confused as to what I mean. I'm not stating that we should just ban all posts regarding these questions and just leave it as that. What I mean is to have a rule removing those posts and or directing them to an overall post that reassures and answers all of their questions regarding it. Having a main post of "here's how to be comfortable carrying a plush in public." With little notes of getting used to it, keeping the plush safe, keeping it clean, ideas of decorating it or adding collars for safety, etc.

When plushies cause emotional anguish

I found a plushie artist on Instagram, and absolutely fell in love with one of her creations. Obsessed. I planned a life out with this plush, the things we’d do together! The joy he would bring!

I set alarms for her shop drop, got my husband ready to also try and get this plush.

The drop went live, and within a literal second, everything in that drop was sold. A literal second. I got it in my basket and that was as far as I could go, husband didn’t even get it in the basket and he’s fast!

I was gutted. I reached out to the creator, but her commissions aren’t open.

There’s is nothing else out there that is quite the same.

I thought, maybe I can find a similar pattern and make something similar! Tide me over! I even bought a sewing machine…. But I just don’t have even near the skill. It is not my forté.

My autistic ass is miserable, and obsessed. It’s all I can think of, and my mood is diabolical.

Why am I like this?! Hahaha

There is nothing that can be done, and I probably will be unsuccessful if she does another shop drop.

Have you ever had this? I feel sooooo pathetic!
