first time playing radical red and couldnt find any info, so i made a website to fix that
hey guys, first post here.
ok so this is literally my first playthrough of radical red and im a pretty casual player. love the hack but man, as a noob i had SO much trouble finding info. like the info is all out there but its scattered everywhere, random google sheets, docs, old reddit threads etc, and alt tabbing between 5 tabs in the middle of a fight was driving me nuts haha
so a few days ago i got this idea: grab the community docs (the ones from that shared google drive) and just put everything into one website so its easier to look stuff up. mostly built it for noobs like me but figured id share
heres what it does so far:
- interactive kanto map, you click a route/cave/town and it shows the wild encounters (with day/night), items, tms, raids and trainers
- gym leaders and boss teams with abilities/items/natures/moves, both default and hardcore.
- full pokedex with types, stats, abilities, learnsets (level/tm/tutor/egg) and weaknesses, theres a shiny toggle too
- some extra pages for trades, gifts, mystery gift codes, shops, mega stones, z crystals, fossils, shards
- it uses the radical red sprites so megas/gmax/sevii forms actually show up instead of being broken
just want to be clear, all the actual data is from the docs the community already made, i didnt gather any of that myself, full credit to whoever made those. i basically just took their work and slapped a nicer interface on top (Radical Red Docs - Google Drive)
kinda wanted to ask you guys first:
- is this even useful or does something like this already exist and i just didnt find it lol
- whats some info you always struggle to find that i should add
- anything that looks wrong or outdated, since im new i probably wont catch it
thanks for reading and seriously thanks to everyone who made those docs, saved my run honestly
Edit 1:
ok it's finally up: https://radical-red-atlas.pages.dev
heads up tho, it's still pretty incomplete lol. i'm just adding things as i play and as people point stuff out. i'm only pre-Misty right now so i'm barely into the game, which means filling in the missing stuff and fixing the weirder bugs is gonna take me a while.
anyway, hope it's useful to someone. if you spot anything broken or missing just tell me.
Edit 2: I built this mostly as a personal project for fun (I'm a dev and I enjoy making this kind of thing), and then figured I'd share it. Full credit for the data still goes to the people who made those docs.
