So Melechesh, ethnically Assyrian black/thrash band from Jerusalem, now based in Amsterdam, are apparently struggling to finish their 7th album. Studio complications wiped their budget completely and they posted the image above reaching out to fans directly.

If you don't know them, they've been doing Mesopotamian metal since 1993. Sumerian mythology, pre-Abrahamic Assyrian themes, actual Middle Eastern scales, not a gimmick, these guys are literally Assyrian. Nobody else sounds like them and nobody else is doing what they're doing culturally.

Not affiliated with them at all, just a fan who would genuinely hate to see them disappear. 30 years of this band and it would be a shame to see it end because of money issues.

Has anyone else been following this?
