Botox gave me crazy deep cheek dimples when I smile. Can this be fixed?
I really need some advice from an experienced injector, dermatologist, plastic surgeon, or anyone who has dealt with something similar.
I recently got a little Botox in my upper cheek/eye area and around my eyebrows. I already had a tiny upper cheek “whisker dimple” on my left side, but after Botox I suddenly developed one on my right side too.
Now whenever I smile, even slightly, BOTH of them become insanely deep. I can actually feel the muscles around that area pulling/straining when I smile, which makes me wonder if the Botox changed the muscle balance around my eyes and cheeks and now something else is overcompensating.
My main question: is this actually fixable? Could Botox in a different muscle soften these dimples, or could that mess with my smile even more? Is there another treatment that makes more sense?
I really want to get rid of them, but I absolutely do not want to start randomly adding Botox and make the situation worse.
Would really appreciate professional opinions or experiences from anyone who has had this happen.
