Never played Runescape - is the new game a good place to start and how does it compare?

Saw the game announcement event the other day (where they announced FF Rebirth) and they showed some new Runescape game or an expansion for it that looked kind of interesting. Is it an easy game to pick up and run with or does it require some massive amount of time to understand - whenever I see Runescape referenced it gives the impression that there's so much rooted from when it first began back in teh 90's or 00's or whenever it started.

How does the game compare to wow? At a glance it seemed almost closer to something like Stardew valley where it's more of a building sim, but I could be completey wrong. Is there some decent progression and combat, raids, dungeons etc.? (Yes I know I can watch some videos I'll do that too when I'm not at work)

Ty in advance

Living a BIFL lifelong dream - building our forever home and starting everything from scratch...where to begin?

Wife and I are building our forever home and we've decided to buy everything from scratch and want to BIFL.

There's only a few things we already have (everything else we want to BIFL):

  • Kitchen/bathroom appliances
  • Kitchen cabinets/countertops
  • Bathroom fixtures except for bathroom sink
  • Mattress
  • Silverware (just knives, forks, spoons, etc.)

In case it helps:

  • We're in Socal - no snow, little rain
  • House is a small beach cottage 750 sqft with an attached ADU separate unit (650sqft)
  • House is only electric, no gas
  • House is very much cottage style
  • Money isn't a huge concern within reason - We're OK with the "second best" option if the truly top-of-the line is exorbitantly more expensive

So what do you all suggest? I'll just assume everyone's first suggestion are Cutco Knives 😄
