Endometrial Biopsy Tips?

Hi. I’m post menopausal and after some bleeding got a transvaginal ultrasound that showed a thickened lining, so now the obgyn wants an endometrial biopsy. Still determining and trying to best prepare for that. If I do it I will choose under sedation.

Secondly, this is a new obgyn I’m going to and I also don’t have a history of obgyn visits to know my health but when I was younger had horrible periods so possibly endometriosis/adenomyosis/pmos. With those considered is there anything I should be asking the Dr. with getting a d&c? I believe those are diagnosed with different methods, but just mentioning in case. Or questions I should be asking beforehand? The doctor said anything they find they will treat, is this standard to remove polyps and such?

I do trust doctors but this is a new one and I’ve found sometimes if things aren’t communicated they’re brought up afterwards and, well that’s not when I’m getting the procedure I’m already stressed about so would like all my bases covered.

Can you share your endometrial biopsy experiences? Anything you wish you knew beforehand?

So I had a few days of post menopausal bleeding and my gyno says guidelines just changed to instead of only having an ultrasound to check the thickness of the lining, any post menopausal bleeding should be followed up with not just an ultrasound, but a endometrial biopsy. Before it was based on if the lining came back thick. Procedures are very scary for me.

Can everyone share what their experience was like with getting a biopsy? Why did you go forward with the decision? Is there anything you wished you had communicated with the Dr beforehand?

Can kidney stones cause vaginal bleeding?

Been having back tiredness when my bladder becomes full, went to a urologist and they were unsure of the cause without an ultrasound, now in the meantime waiting I have vaginal bleeding like a period except, shouldn’t be because I’m in menopause. Is this related to kidney stones? All I see while googling is blood in urine not vaginal blood.

Post menopausal bleeding?

Posting a question for my mother- she’s about 1.5 years post menopause. Recently we’ve been to the doctor about tiredness in the back when her bladders full, but they couldn’t find a reason without doing ultrasound (haven’t done yet). And now today she started having period bleeding. Going to call the Dr. Monday but it’s the weekend so doing my own research- has anyone experienced these two symptoms together?

Also for background she doesn’t do any hormone or treatment for menopause.
