Urban Arrow motor and range anxiety
Hey all,
I'm looking into getting an urban arrow family next pro. Every review has been positive, and I've loved my radwagon, which is my only (admittedly imperfect) frame of reference.
My Radwagon 4 has a 750W motor and a 672Wh battery. I've put close to 10k miles on this thing and have a good feel for what those numbers amount to. It feels weird to me that a larger bike, the UA FamilyNext Pro, has a significantly smaller motor at 250W and a 545Wh battery.
This leaves me with 3 questions:
- Is 20 miles a realistic range for the 545Wh battery on the UA? Thats what the reviews suggest, but that seems low, as I can get 35-40 miles on the higher wattage Radwagon whose battery is only 20ish% larger
- My local dealer is quoting $1,400(!!) for the double battery upgrade. Is that insane or am I missing something
- Does the 250W motor "feel" limiting on such a large bike? Or would I not want something stronger because its so big? I'm on suuuuuper flat terrain.
**Please forgive any word salad, I have a 9 day old and I have slept 45 minutes in those 9 days
EDIT: Thank you all so much for your replies! This community is amazing.
