Burning Items After A Cord Cutting

Hey there-

About to do my first cord cutting. I’ll be employing this working with a pair of scissors, not a fire. I have my plan on what I feel like makes sense for me- which includes a picture of me and then a picture of them with the string between us. I will keep my picture on my altar after the cord cutting as a reminder of self love, autonomy, care but I think burning the entire cord and their picture and leaving the ashes at the crossroadscould be quite powerful energetically. I know so much of practice is about the tradition you work with, what works for your own magic/intention etc. I study and I’m aligning correspondence for grounding/raising power and even a cleansing bath afterwards but I’m wondering if there is any reason not to do so?

Recommendations for fair gold purchasers in CBD/surrounds

Cost of living crisis is CRISIS-ing. I have a few gold items that aren’t incredibly sentimental that I want to sell to help with some financial gaps I’m facing. I’ve seen a number of companies when I google who have reputable looking sites but funny enough they all seem to say they are the best, most well established and give the best rates when you’re selling to them. (Insert eye roll here)

Wondering if anyone has opinions and experience selling to different gold buying folks in CBD or inner suburbs. Ideally- it would be someone who also buys items with stones in them. Have a ring with some smaller diamonds in them but I don’t want to get fleeced. Interested to hear the shocking experiences but mainly hoping for recommendations to decent reputable buyers who legitimately give good prices.

Thanks!
