Can you use divination tools for your imaginary friends? (IK ITS WEIRD.) (read body)

SO yeah. This is pretty weird huh? I have imaginary friends bc of loneliness! And I love to fake scenarios. I know everything is fake so it’s okay. But! Is it okay? Idk if this is the right sub to ask. Just tell me, I need to know.

Very new to witchcraft - How to meditate?

Hello! I am just starting my journey into witchcraft. I would say that I still did not find where do I best align on the craft. I do believe in the spiritual, but I still don't know if I'll focus on being a natural witch, or if I will incorporate neo pagan practices... Well, the consensus with absolutely everyone is that I should start by meditating.

The thing is... I have aphantasia (a condition where I cannot form and visualize images on my head at all) wich always made it difficult for me to do those guided meditations. Does anyone has tips on how to correctly meditate, especially without the need to visualize images? What should I focus on while meditating? Is there other exercises I should do to better discover myself?

Sorry if the post is not clear, as english is not my first language and thank you in advance!

Thoughts on witches hexing politicians ?

So i recently started wondering why it seems that corrupted politicians/highly famous people are not affected by the witchraft a lot of people put on them, and i stumbled across a reddit post (from this sub i think) explaining how a astral traveller supposedly saw, in the astral plane, powerful astral guards protecting a politician from all the hexes sent to him and just reflecting it (there were also mentions of chaos witchraft), And another person said that the energy of witchraft is not enough compared to the people praying for their success because they are more of them than there are witches hexing, and also because it's harder to hex someone not close/relative . After Reading these posts, i thought about if hexes would work if the famous person doesn't practice any kind of witchraft.would the support and prayer from their fans be enough to block all sort of hex ? Tell me what you think (im not planning to do it of course, i was just wondering)

I put a freezer spell on my divorcing husband

I am so desperate to stop him from targeting me and projecting all his malice onto me. We were together for 20 years, and I endured psychological, emotional and financial abuse. He was sadistic and genuinely enjoyed seeing me hurt. He cheated on me and hid money and assets something I only began to realize after I left him. The divorce process has been an absolute nightmare; he has the wealth and influence to destroy me. Even though I have a good lawyer, the sheer amount of resources he has to make my life a living hell pushed me to cast a freezer spell today.

I took an old handwritten letter he had faxed to a customer support line (showing how arrogant he is), folded it, and wrapped it in a piece of paper where I had written his name and birthday. I wrote a petition stating that all his evil energy should be redirected back to him and that all the tactics he uses to target people are now frozen so he can no longer harm anyone. I added chili flakes, cayenne and black pepper. Some of the chili actually had mold on it. Then I wrapped everything in aluminum foil, placed it in a bag filled with water and put it straight into the freezer.

I just want him out of my life so his toxic energy can no longer reach me. Unfortunately, because of our ongoing legal battles over financial assets, I can't just cut ties and leave yet. So I hope this gives me a break

Help Needed: Making My Own Runes

I’d really like to make my own set of runes, but I’ve come across so much conflicting information that I’m not sure where to start.
Is there a particular rune system that’s most commonly used in witchcraft? Also, are there any books, websites, or other reliable resources you’d recommend for learning about their meanings, history, and how to make and use them?
I’d really appreciate any guidance or recommendations. Thank you!

I'm not a baby anymore.

TL;DR: Something that is a coincidence to one person, could be substantive to another. This is a brief story of how I've come to need less validation and choose to enjoy my life.

I can't stomach horror at all but a while back, I decided to see IT with my husband so he wouldn't go to the theater alone. That movie scared me so badly, I became afraid of the dark. I didn't let it affect my behavior. As a grown ass woman, I was embarrassed.

Anyway, last night I did my little magical practice and was feeling powerful. I navigated through my house without using any lights and when I got to the bathroom (no windows), I decided to shut the door entirely and simmer in the darkness for a bit before cutting on the light.

I realized that not only do I no longer fear the dark, I feel stronger in it. When I flipped the light switch, there was light for literally 1 second before the power went out. It was so immediate, as if it had tripped the breaker. The whole neighborhood went dark for 20-30 minutes.

The screen to our security systems flashed green to indicate that it was operating on its battery and didn't have power. I treated it as a strobe light, whipped out my phone and had a little dance party. Husband was frustrated with the power company while I was blisssd out dancing in the corner to Date with the Night by Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

The point I want to make is that, whether or not this was a spiritual thing — I choose to ascribe meaning to what happened. I choose to celebrate my growth and the chains that have been broken due to my own hard work. I practice witchcraft, yoga, meditation, listen to binaural beats and selfeggio frequencies, I spend as much time outside as possible and I'm healing myself.

What witchcraft gives to me is the ability to choose my own reality, and only accept what serves me. It has helped me fortify and protect my autonomy. Things don't just happen to me anymore. I am the author of my story an no longer feel like an npc.

POV: you're a Libran Aphrodite devotee 🩷💖♎️

Recently came to the realization that I want my altar to be (imperfectly) symmetrical, especially with the addition of my two beautiful statues 🥰

What techniques or habits do you use to regain your energy?

Hi everyone!
I’d love to open up this space for some discussion and to hear your thoughts. Specifically, I’d like to know: how can we reclaim our energy after pouring so much of ourselves into someone who didn't value it?
We often give too much and end up feeling completely empty and drained. I know that recovering our energy takes time, but I’d like to hear your perspectives so I can put them into practice: What tools do you turn to?

Personal favorite ways for cleansing/ removing negative energy from yourself?

Anytime I see a specific friend, I have the feeling that something is “off” and I leave having some sort of negative situation e.g sudden work burnout, things not suddenly not working out, bad relationship patches, feeling extremely sick and feverish etc.

Whilst I have a great time sometimes with them, I cannot shake the feeling that they don’t want my best. I would love to hear your personal approaches/ spells/ rituals you take to protect yourself, and your energy from people you get an “off” feeling from. Thank you ✨✨

Ideas for a Cleansing Simmer Pot with Weird Allergies

Hi! I was hoping to get some help with ingredient ideas for a simmer pot to cleanse my mom's new apartment. The reason I'm asking instead of googling is because of the strange allergies that my family has, which means we can't use some of the more common ingredients. My mom is allergic to cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and cloves, and I'm allergic to anything mint (including lemon balm), and my dad is allergic to rosemary.

I've been able to find that lemons and oranges are a good idea, along with star anise, but I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for substitutions for the herbs.

Religious background

Hi guys! Is anyone here from a monotheistic religious background that instilled the fear of hell in them from a young age, especially regarding witchcraft? I am highly spiritual and not religious at all, but still can’t shake the fear. I understand religions are all indoctrination systems but the fear still ripples through me. For context, I am from a religious Muslim family, and in Islam the concept of witchcraft and calling on other deities is punishable by eternal torture. It also claims that there is only one god, yet I have experienced the energy of other deities, but that still does not assuage the fear I have. If anyone is or has been in similar shoes I would greatly appreciate any and all advice. Thanks!

Went to a Cacao Festival recently. This is how Criollo Cacao Tea looks. It smells like Hershey Chocolate.

Setting up an altar for my boyfriend as a surprise, how'd I do?

He moved in with me recently and has been complaining about not having an altar space since his friend is taking up the guest bedroom. So I set this up in our bedroom. I mainly just want to make sure I didn't do anything wrong. The deity he follows (idk if that's the right term) is Hera. I don't practice, so I don't really know much about that stuff.

Suggestions for a desk & alter set up

I had an alter makeover day to convert it from a display set up to more of a desk set up. I am already able to pull my books from other areas to this space. I am new to this practice and this upcoming year (birthday is soon) I want to focus on education and learning how to better individualize my practice. Any tips, resources or advice would be more than welcome.

I'd like to show you my witch's chest!

I don't want to have a stationary altar, so I decided to build something special for all my ritual supplies.

It took me more than a week to finish everything from sawing to carving through to painting and I had planned the design for weeks beforehand.
I'm absolutely obsessed with how it turned out and so proud!

I've been struggling a little with my practice for the last few weeks and in times like these, I always find it incredibly helpful to channel some energy into craft-related creative projects. Now I feel motivated and empowered again!

If you've ever made something similar, I would love to see your results as well!

Do we think these are real?

Run into these at vinted for a great price, do we think they might be real or just colored glass?

A story I wanted to share

Good evening all,

I just wanted to share how my spell went that I did during the strawberry moon. I'm still learning and trying things and tweaking them to what feels right for me.

Anyway, I looked up a letting go spell. I wanted to let go of 3 things that I do that take too much of my energy and time. One, for example, I wanted to not obsess over what certain people think of me or if they think of me etc. I also did a protection spell. I felt it was important to do that along with my letting go, to protect my new way of thinking and to protect my energy.

I had read that the strawberry moon was a good time to let go of what isn't working for/serving you anymore. And I have to say, I have felt excellent since then. It was very liberating. I don't know how to explain it other than I just completely felt my energy shift when I did it, like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.

I will admit it tries to creep back in but instead of it dragging me down I say to myself "ok and?" shrug my shoulders and go about my day. Which is a HUGE improvement compared to how I was struggling previously. Certain thoughts do NOT consume me anymore and it's great tbh.

I just wanted to share with yall, as I have no one else to really talk to about it.

Hope all is well with everyone, have a great night <3

My area... not an altar, but stuff

I found this at a thrift store and thought it was perfect! The stickers are from Dollars Tree, and I had them for over a year.
