To the ones who are struggling on the right path despite the forbidden enjoyments around.
I want to start off by saying no one is perfect and I am not either but too often the people who do struggle to stay on the right path have been overlooked in today's society. Instead everything else is given more respect, compassion and support.
In a world where desires are given higher precedence over the silent struggles of a muslim fighting his/her desires I feel it important to address those who do fight their nafs for the sake of Allah.
Remember why you do the things that you do. You do it because your love and obedience to Allah is more important than anything else. Because Allah will not let go to waste any of your efforts done for His sake. Because our creator commanded it of us. Sometimes we see haram being normalised and unfortunately even being supported. On the other hand halal is seen just as par for the course as though it's a small thing and nothing worthy of being mentioned.
As though the people who stick to halal do not battle their nafs with tremendous strength and patience.
On the day of judgement Allah will reward anyone who replaced haram with halal. I hope you find peace in knowing that you will have great reward on the Day of Judgement.
No this does not mean any of us should think of ourselves as superior. But just a reminder for us to remain steadfast for anything haram we avoid. This could even be so much as guarding our tongue or even treating someone justly even if they do not, or controlling our anger. Or other tempations as well.
Allah is The Most Just, He sees us all.
