Paying to haul other people’s trash aka thrifting for furniture in Buffalo

Everyone in this whole city reselling used furniture has lost the plot. Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, and most of the thrift stores are full of stained, ripped and smelly furniture that is listed for $200+. Why would anyone pay that much and drive out to another burb to pick it up themselves when the same thing can get delivered to your front door for the same price or less from online. And it’s not like it’s antiques or valuable pieces. Half the posts are basically “I bought this on Amazon for $150 last year, and now it’s falling apart and smells like my farts, so I’ll cut you deal and sell it for $148”. Get a GRIP people. I’m moving and trying to be environmentally conscious but everyone and their mother thinks all of the garbage they are trying to get rid of is suddenly made of gold. End rant.
